Buzz assistance ease

Hey everyone.

I need a bit of assistance please. I have an original Buzz which i believe needs an adjustment on the screw (positive post). The issue is that when i screw any carto or atomizer on to the Buzz, if i screw it on snug, i get a red led and the carto/atty wont fire. If i back it off a half turn from snug, it fires fine.

Am i right that i need to adjust the screw down further and exactly how is that accomplished?

Jif, did you check to make sure the screw is snug? You can check it with a regular Philips screwdriver. Don't crank it down too tight. What connection do you have?

I have a 510 connection. I want the screw snug down as far as it will go without overtightening, correct?

Correct! And if that doesn't solve the problem, you can replace it with a flat head type size M2x.45 from your local hardware store. Be sure you look over the pics in the "Replacing the Top Cap" stickie if you need to swap out the screw

So, under the top cap, i want that screw holding the positive wire to be a bit loose so the wire connector can spin freely on the screw. Then once the top cap is in place, i want the screw in the atty connector snugged down all the way. I think i got it.

Sounds like there is a washer missing or the isolator is bad. I have mine tight but it still spins freely on all my notcig PV's.

OK the screw is to HIGH , there is a black plastic washer under the screw you can try removing this , it will lower the screw height some , other then that a flat head screw will lower it also

Well, 5CARD wins! HAS to be the isolator. I did everything i could that was suggested and it seems that as soon as i snug the atty down, it makes contact with the atty connector and will not fire. I will be ordering a new top cap to rectify.

Buzzkill, do you have any 510 Buzz top caps in stock? Website says "add to wishlist". If not, will a Buzz Pro top cap work?

So taking the washer out from under the top screw didn't help lower it? Did you put meter on it to test it Jif?

Yeah, i removed the washer and still no go. Its pumping out voltage be ause i metered it, but its like the circuit is not completed due to bad isolator. I believe a new top cap is in order. I dont know if theyre available though.

Interesting bit of trivia...after almost 2 years of vaping, I had my first shorted out carto tonight. Filled it, tanked it, vaped on it for about 2 hours and it started gurgling. Took it off and cleared the inner tube, put it back on my BP and it was a no go. Tried it on my OB and even my beta BP and nada.

Wow. No kidding? I suppose thats not bad to have just happened once after two years of vaping.
