The more I use it, the more I like it.

I only have one since I swap toppers around. So the ring moves with the topper.

I'm debating on either getting the $8 ring from Provape or the $20 ring from Loki. If I do get the one from Loki, I'm not sure which finish to get to match my satin silver Provari. Machined, polished or brushed? I plan to use it with some new rda's that I'm ordering so I hope it's all compatible and what not.

Edit:

"Not designed for use with AGA-T models, AGI's or IGO's. They have shorter 510 connections and won't make contact with Pro-Ring in place"

Since I'm buying the IGO-W5, I suppose that won't be my choice anyways. Maybe the one from Provape will be compatible?

Edit2:

Well, I might just go with the one from Innovape actually. That thing looks great.

The only two atomizers I have are the Aerotank and Protank2. The problem with both these tanks is that the tank center pole is not adjustable at all. Therefore they do not seat well on the Provari V2.

The Aerotank barely makes contact with the provari center pin. It has to be screwed on extremely tight to get a electrical connection. I am trying to find a "ring" I can screw into the provari that will have an adjustable / spring loaded center pin. Then I can adjust the pin in the ring so it raises up to reach the Aerotank properly.

The Protank 2 that came with the Provari starter kit does makes contact with the provari center pin, but there is no air draw at all- that is why everybody has to leave it loose on the provari, to get some draw / air intake.

It looked at the hippo ring, but it seems the center pin is not adjustable. Also the airflow is not adjustable and I like a wide open draw. And I don't want to pay $50 for such a simple thing. More like $10 or so.

Ideally I am looking for a ring or any other device that will solve both these problems (airflow and adjustable center pin). Is there any device like this? The most important feature for me is ADJUSTABLE center pin on the "ring". TIA

.........snipped for brevity
You might want to look into KangerTech Air Flow Control ring. I use them on all my PT2s. They are a little fiddley but you can go from no air to too much air in a NewYork minute.

Thats funny, because with my aero tank base I still had to shave down the positive pin on my head of choice. different heads and different 510 threads cause all sorts of issues with the pro tank.

For the aerotank do the following. 1) lightly push on the positive connection of the base from the inside, you will notice it moves out a bit.

2) pull the positive pin out of the head slightly, give it a slight gap between it and the insulator.

3) screw the head into the base, and install the base on the tank

4) screw it onto the provari. The base's positive connection will settle where it is happy, and it will push the pro tank heads positive pin until it is happy and makes a good connection.

That said, the pro ring cured all of my pro tank issues and allowed me to run my pro tank 2 with its original base.

Provape ring is all i need. ON the kayfun lite plus the little air channel groves are just barely visible and adds a note of flare that is missing from the covered up tear drops.

IT works for me and works nicely. There isn't really a step per se since its 1mm difference.

The KF and most 22mm Attys look so much better with the KF ring though.

Got some new bling today. Ordered the TrevVapor Cingulum from Spiros at Greek Mods in Germany. Got it out Sat when I ordered it and it was in NYC by Tuesday but got hung up in Customs. Super fast shipping on his end View attachment 320881

That looks more like a mech than a Provari. Nice!

Just today I was delivered my new white mini ProVari as well as a ProVari "Tank Ring". Right now the only tanks I use are ProTanks and Davides and have gotten annoyed with the occassional gap showing up between the base of the tank and the top of the ProVari.

This tank ring is just the ticket, and it's finish matches the Tatroe extension ring. It does extend a little more than 1/16" on either side of the base of the tank, but with the many grooves cut in the top, it looks kind of decorative. Very pleased with this addition!......Oh yes! Am loving the white ProVari too!

Well, huh!!!!
I just went to ponder dropping $20 on a black pro-ring, cuz I have a black russian (black - not "black edition") coming.
And guess what I saw on the Loki website?

Black Delrin on hold as we test Black Metal pro-rings

Interested!!!

I hope they make a decision soon!! Really Really need a black ring for a gift!

Nice to see this thread, and very accurate measurements of our Pro-Rings. :toast:

We have been testing Black finished stainless steel rings, the issue is the longevity of the finish. I don't want to rush it and send out a product we're not 100% happy with. We want it to last!

I know all the different modder/manufacturers version do very, but keep in mind I have seen some ProVaris where our ring wasn't tall enough. ProVape makes an excellent product, so don't take this as my trying to talk bad on them.

I went to a local Vape shop and ran into a customer (who I had never met previously, she heard my name and my tshirt gave it away) who had some major issues with her ring. We were able to find the issue as she had her ProV on her, it was the height of the center post/pin, was much higher then the 2 ProV's that I carry. In her situation not one of the rings in this thread would have solved her issue. The ring just wanted to freely spin and make noise. So keep that in mind with any ProRings you may buy.

As with all products there can be issues and we stand behind ours the best that we can, but sometimes it's out of our control.

Happy Vaping everyone!

I think most of us understand the challenge - and thus the lack of a "universal" ring perfect for different atty's too...
But yours are well-reviewed, and I know I want a black one!

Hi Craig, nice to see you here. I will second his comment about the Provari pins and top caps being different. I have now owned almost 30 rings(including over 10 different Loki labs ones) and 9 ProVari's. I can vouch for the fact that one rings that fits perfectly on one provari will not work well on another because of small differences.

Craig, your rings are one of my favorites. If you made a 23mm-22mm tapered one I'd buy a few. The KF cone are another favorite but they are so short in supply in the US.

ALso, not far away are anodized colored prorings from IBTanked.
Apparently, OCD has worked it out so they count towards minimums of colors - so when they order Red caps, they'll get some red rings. When they order blue caps, they'll get some blue rings, etc.
They'll be a TINY bit shorter than the original IBT Proring, too - it was the tallest of them all, so that's probably good.
I'm looking for a black ring, FOR SURE. Other colors might be fun for certain setups, too!
(I could see their gold with a bronze ProVari, for instance - the green might clash with a Zombie...)
