I have a few mech clones on the way, all copper + copper contacts apart from the panzer.
Panzer Brass with copper contacts.
King III
Stingray X
Manhatten
Vanilla copper+brass with copper contacts.

I've only owned a mech ro grande and an innokin134 for almost a year so i know how important cleaning and upkeep is as to regards performance.

I've done some research and i read that No-OX-ID-A Special is a good start but i'm from the UK and it seems to be either hard to get hold of or people are charging twice as much as ive seen it advertised in the US, is there an alternative? i also see some people mentioning Noalox can be used which i have some of, but i also know that this is abrasive, what would you guys recommend?

For actually cleaning the mod's before i use and at times when they start to lose performance is isopropyl alchohol the stuff to use, or is there anything else i need?
when i clean the grand i normally just use dish soap and Hothot water with a toothbrush & then the contacts get a little sanding with 1200grit, are nylon brushes anygood for cleaning the threads etc on tubes?

i was even thinking of getting an ultrasonic cleaner, would they clean all the necessary parts enough ??

Oh one more question, i noticed the US guys using FATDADDYVAPES to source all the mod upgrades, is there a place in the UK where i can get all these parts from?

i know, alot of questions! :D Thanks guys:)

I use an ultrasonic cleaner for everything except orings and delrin parts.
For my brass internal parts they can go in the UC, or soak for a few minutes in ketchup for 10 minutes or so. Then remove, rinse, and soak in soap water for a bit before final rinsing. Not sure what the reaction is for brass though.
As for sanding the contacts, try mesh. I use mesh to "sand" the contacts. Firm rubbing gives off the same effect as sand paper without removing a little material each time.

First, noalox is for better conductivity and for smoothing rough threads, not for cleaning but for preventing corrosion.

I use Brasso on my brass contacts and it can be used for other metals also.

I use fatdaddyvapes also and there is a link on their website for a European vendor Midlands Vaping I didn't see any upgrade kits but you might contact them to see if they will be getting any.
