If you chew multiple gums at the same time? I recently tried quitting vaping and bought some nicotine gums. As I'm chewing two at a time after a meal, I feel a slight satisfaction...
I think it may depend on how much of your habit is chemical vs. physical habit. NRTs like gum & patches didn't do it for me, because it seems my cigarette habit was heavily of the 'hand-to-mouth', the physical aspects of smoking. And, imo, that's why vaping was such a success in my being able to quit smoking.
Getting the nicotine into you does a lot of the satisfaction, I don't think those products were ever made to work for heavy user like I was, but the hand to mouth was the missing piece even back then with harsh freebase nic. I think the satisfaction of the physical habit is the same no matter how I get nicotine into me, would just take several pieces of gum maybe, or chewing on a patch, which could be dangerous
I tried the gum and patches still burned up two packs of cowboy killers a day. Did absolutely nothing for me. I cut down with vaping but didn't totally quit till the RDA hit the market. I got one on Friday and Sunday had my last analog.
