I love BOTH of my VT200s. Yep, I loved the first one (and my brother loves the one I bought him) so much that I bought a second one as a backup just in case. These are the only mods I have. All these things I hear people worrying/complaining about have been non-issues for me. Battery set to 14.43 as recommended by hcigar and it lasts from 5am to 10pm with 25%-35% battery remaining, everyday. I have bought a total of 4 VT200s so far. The first one did die after 1 day. The next 3, absolutely no problems. Manufacturing is great, price was good, battery life is good, vape is awesome, options with the dna & eScribe are better (I think) than anything else available right now. I love the look & feel of the device. I've had one for over three months now with no problems whatsoever. I don't think I could be happier....
just a tip........run battery analyzer. run the analyzer at a wattage you typically vape at. also a good idea to run case analyzer. i'm assuming hcigar hasn't run any of the analyzers, but i could be wrong. my vt200 is a peach now that i ran all the analuzers and also performed an internal mod resistance test. more info on these types of analyzers are available on www.evolvforumchitchat.com

glad to hear you also love your vt200. i love mine and she still purrs like the day i opened the box, if that makes any sense.

Your link isn't working for me?

Shouldn't the resistance of each mod be the same? Or close enough that I could use whatever setting you or anyone else found when checking? I currently have .0045 set as my resistance and it seems to be on par with my ohm meters. As for the battery, I'm happy after entering the Hcigar recommended 14.43 wh. The battery lasts all day...

this link should work. ya the mod's resistance from mod to mod will be practically the same so .0045 should be fine. when i had the batt meter set to 14.43 wh's, i noticed that it would show i still had 20% batt left while flashing the "weak battery" message. so i just ran batt analyzer for myself. it's been dead on now. maybe hcigar upped their battery game since my vt200.

I just attributed weak battery while still showing 20% to the soft cell cutoff? Fortunately this has only shown once. I typically charge overnight and I'm good all day...
Attribute it to the stock battery being 1100mah and not 1300mah as advertised.

If a 1300mah won't fit, how is it that users are finding off shelf 1300mah batteries that are only slightly larger by a few millimeters?

When lowering your battery setting to 12.21, what percentage is shown when you get the weak battery message?
It's just the bottom of the battery bar that's lit up when I get the low battery warning. If I had to guess I'd say somewhere between 5-10%. I've actually been playing around with the idea of lowering it to 12wh. It's really not that far off now . I have my cutoff at 3.09v in case you are wondering.

Have you ran the battery analyzer? I did and mine came out to 11.1wh and the battery meter seems to be almost dead on accurate.

No I haven't done that. I've been meaning to get around to it but something always comes up. I figured I'd work my way down until I get it dead on. I'll try a 11.1wh and see how it goes. I always figured it was somewhere between 1000-1100mah.

Cheers,
Steve

Yeah most VT200 owners on the Evolv forums are reporting around 11.1 wh. Some are down in the 10's, some are closer to 12.

Battery Analyzer gave me 10.56. Ugh.
It's very accurate too. I'm at 1% when the battery low indicator flashes and it dies.
hey.... 1% is pretty damn accurate. did you run batt analyzer at your average vaping wattage/res? i found when i did that my meter was pretty accurate, in fact at around 1%-4% i'd get the weak batt message. hcigar probably got these c bin lipos at discount, which would account for some packs fairing better than others. luck of the draw when comes to getting a decent lipo with your vt200.

I typically use temp. control so the wattage on the battery analyzer didn't reflect how I normally use the device. I used the default wattage during the test.

and this: And you can get support or arrangement for repairing by e-mail.
Yeah, I've been trying to deal with HCigar service for over a week (tough with the time difference), and after a lot of non-sense back and forth, the eventually said go back to the vendor for support. My first email to them was that the vendor (ElementVape) only provides a 14 days warranty, hence going to HCigar. Piss poor situation. So far they have told me; did you buy a new battery and try that, maybe it has a bad board, the charging voltage is too low and other nonsense. During all of this never did they once say "Do this to get service, like send the device to us and we'll replace it". They are leaving me in the cold on this one. I wrote to the vendor again to see if they can mediate or otherwise assist.

Don't know what your issue is but hopefully your vendor will assist you. You might also go to Evolv's web site and click on Contact (help desk) and let them know what your mod issue is and they may be able to assist you also.

Good luck....

Thanks for the link and info.
The problem with the device is when I attempt to charge it, the USB current is typically .000 to .004, instead of .5 A. Does the same thing on AC. I'm using the cable that came with the device, and I've tried other cables as well.
It actually discharges rather than charge.
