I'm waiting for parts for more mods....
I tried to put the guts from an AAA battery box into a AA battery box to have room left for a juice bottle..... I didn't like the way it was coming.. (ok, after I trashed the AA box).. So I made an SD!
It took me a little longer than I planned but it came together nicely!
I used the smaller switch and soldered one leg of it to the negative battery terminal plate where the slide switch and plastic inside was removed. It was kind of fragile and secured in place with hot glue so it won't move and short out.
The other leg of the switch is attached to the upper post on the atty connector with a wire. Another wire from that post goes to the negative leg of the tiny LED. The positive lead of the LED is soldered to a 470 ohm resistor, the other leg of which is soldered under the bent over bottom connector on the atty.
I removed the positive battery plate on the upper right of the box. I then bent the bottom connector on the atty back over its bottom and positioned it where the positive plate was. The positive terminal of the battery makes direct contact with the bottom connector of the atty.
I was too scattered to take pics along the way but will try to be more organized next time....
