Heard about this today in our local news blog...
Emerson, Lake and Palmer Founder, Keith Emerson, Dies in Santa Monica
I was/am a Prog Head from way back when, and saw ELP a bunch of times... liked Keith from the Nice band days, and Greg Lake from King Crimson. (Carl Palmer had previously played with Arthur "I am the King of Hellfire" Brown)
But the last time I saw ELP together, GL's voice was shot, and he had really 'porked out'!!
And IDK Keith was living here in Santa Monica (I was born in that city!!)... so sad.

It's hard to describe the effect that the news of Prince's death had on me. It's not that I was ever the greatest Prince fan but he was with me my entire adult life and I knew he was put on this earth for a reason, and ultimately I think that was to show we're all here for reasons.
