Anybody having success with Johnson Creek Red Oak Domestic in a cartomizer?

Red Oak Domestic, a favorite juice flavor from Johnson Creek was amazing in ego-c (sr attys) and is also good in the in the ego vision stardusts on ego batteries. I have come to prefer cartomizers and have great success with other vg juices like Boba's Bounty, etc., but Domestic is a huge fail in the cartos (boge lr and sr, smoktech 1.7 xl). Flavor especially is way off. Is anybody vaping Domestic in a cartomizer and consistently getting great taste? If so, please specify make and resistance of carto and battery voltage. Thanks for any help.
