Hello, I've been lurking for awhile and this is a nice little community.

I ordered the greensmoke social smoker's starter kit a month ago and haven't touched tobacco in about 2 weeks after smoking for a year.

I am in the process of returning it for a full refund, if only to purchase a cheaper kit with less issues. The battery I have doesn't last very long, and I've burned out two of greensmoke's cartomizers.

The biggest concerns for me are:

1 - two piece design. I want to be able to toss out a used cart and pop in a new one, instead of fiddling with multiple pieces and e-liquid.
2 - battery life. The longer, the better. Vapor King has a 2-piece which costs less than greensmoke's kit and comes with two batteries. Since I can charge one while using the other, this shouldn't be a huge issue.

Which 2-piece brand would you recommend?

More important than brand name is the model. Your GreenSmoke is an E9; that Vapor King you mentioned is the KR808D-1 (or what many of us abbreviate as Kr8). Both are two-piece units that use cartomizers, but are not compatible. The Kr8 sells for considerably less than what most suppliers charge for the E9. [Exceptions are LeCig and NHaler, which also sell the Kr8 model.]

The standard Kr8 battery is 280 mAh (milliamp hours). [The higher the mAh, the more puffs per battery charge.] I'm not sure what mAh GreenSmoke batteries are. 280 mAh is at the high end of cigarette-shaped e-cigs.

There also are XL Kr8 batteries that are 380 mAh. Those, of course, are longer, but the total e-cig (with cartomizer) is still shorter than a penstyle.

The Kr8 (starter kit, batteries, and/or cartomizers) is sold by myriad suppliers and under several brand names, including: NHaler (KR808D-1), Vapor4Life (Vapor King*), PureSmoker (Ace), CigEasy (Easy), GoodProphets (VapoRite), LeCig (D1), VaporKings* (KR808D-1), LiteCigUSA (KR808D-1), and AltSmoke (KR808D). Those are just the ones I've dealt with. Lots of choices on this increasingly popular model.

* Yeah, that can be confusing: Vapor4Life sells the "Vapor King"; VaporKings calls their Kr8 simply "KR808D-1."

Consider also the Kr8 PCC to charge one of your batteries while you are vaping another, even when you are out and about. The PCC costs $15-$25, depending on supplier. Some of the suppliers listed include the PCC in their starter kit.

Based on your stated criteria (no "fiddling with multiple pieces and e-liquid"), I strongly recommend the Kr8.
