Laser Pointer mod Guide

I haven't read through all the pages on this mod but I'm gonna take a shot from the hip and make a comment along the lines that it may be risky to use a high powered laser pointer just because you may get in trouble by from the FAA. I suppose to get around this is use an infra red laser pointer. However I thing the cost of a handheld infrared laser pointer might just make it pointless to even try (at this present time)

This mod was for modifying a laser pointer housing, not using the laser.

Never got an answer anyone know if this came with pictures/images/diagrams. They seem to be missing.

It appears that the OP had pictures / images in his first post...but I don't see any. Is it just because this thread is so old that they have been removed. My curiosity in making a mod has kind of grown in the past few months and would liked to have seen the diagrams and/or pics of how to perform this.

I say appears as in the first couple of his post he is referencing image numbers?

There use to be a pics, then a link to a pdf later in the thread. That particular pointer may not even be available anymore. Look for the mini-maglite thread, that's about the same size but doesn't have an integrated circuit.

Yeah guess I wasn't really looking for that specific model. Was just trying to follow the post and when he starts mentioning figure 1 and figure 2 and there are no figures it's a bit frustrating. Maybe someone will make a more modern one.
