Well... since I'm in a good mood...

Just kidding... a little gift from our fellow vapers in Germany...

mod off > hold Fire and Up for 20-25 seconds (yeah, it's a while) > display will toggle "Ti On" or "Ti Off".

Yes... you can turn it off, and back on.
Still, to this day (yesterday actually) eleaf does not mention this on their 40TC page. o_O

I did do that before I PIFd it, lol! It worked like a charm! I passed that mod on to my daughter's finance because I have a few higher-wattage TC mods but I kind of regret doing so. :D He wants to try TC, though, and it really is a great little device to learn the ropes on, so it's all good.

this is still intriguing me [emoji13] i passed the news to my fren whom i PIFd my TC40w to, but he's kinda "unable" to activate the Ti mode and told me that those fingers kung-fu on the buttons was "very confusing" (whatever that means) LOL, i'll visit him tomorrow and will kung-fu the TC40w meself.

gosh, i LOVED my TC40w and this secret buttons kung-fu would probably ended up with me getting another TC40w for meself (and i would probably have it repainted in pink straight from the B&M)

(and still keep thinkin why esmoka doesnt release the pink version of their upcoming TC100w, not necessarily hot pink, the girly pink of istick30 would be super gorgeous)

That's so nice of you to help your friend find that hidden Ti Easter egg. :) I had forgotten that it really does take a while to set it. You have to hold the + button and fire button down for quite a while, but it really does work! :)

I will see if I can get any information on whether there will be more color options available for the 100w TC iStick. Since the battery doors are interchangeable, it would make customizing this mod very easy!

This is definitely a new design, so it is different from the existing iStick 100W. FWIW, I'm not sure that I really like the hidden fire button. Since it requires you squeezing the battery door (very similar to the Smok XCube 2) to trigger the mod, it will make it too easy to accidentally trigger the mod, although having a separate lock switch will help. With my XCube 2, I will accidentally fire the mod often just from holding the mod too tight in my hand or just trying to put it into my pocket.

Also, looking at the Heaven Gifts website (from what I can find, it seems that Heaven Gifts is the only seller that is advertising this new model mod),

100W Eleaf iStick TC Express Kit W/O Battery

They mention that the batteries are run in parallel, which means it doubles the battery capacity. Most other mods have the batteries in series, so it doubles the voltage. So if you are using two 3000 mah 18650 batteries, it means that you will be in fact have a battery capacity of 6000 mah. That should definitely last you several days between charging. Since the mod is capped at 100 watts, you really don't need the higher voltage made possible by wiring the batteries in series. In fact, this is the first regulated mod I've heard of where the two batteries are wired in parallel. And the webpage seems to imply that you can either run the mod on just one battery, or two to double the battery life). The eleaf website also confirms that you can operate it either with one battery at 75 watts or two batteries and get the full 100 watts.

I guess the whole eleaf/Joyetech connection explains why the SS mode is configured for SS 316 wire, since all of Joyetech's mods have SS temp control set up for 316 wire. Having an adjustable TCR will come in handy if you want to use TC mode with SS wire, but a different grade.

It has been a while since I've used an iStick. The iStick 50 was the first box mod that I ever purchased and that got me into "real" vaping. Although I never had any issues with it, I know that eleaf went through a string of bad publicity with the auto-firing issue.

The fact that you can run either 1or 2 batteries is definitely interesting to me. Eleaf says the mod is rated to 75 watts with a single battery and up to 100 watts with 2. I love that! I am very excited to get my hands on this one. I have loved all of my iSticks, including the 50 watt. I never had a problem with mine autofiring, either, and the battery life was amazing. The firmware upgradeable feature is also exiting to me. Who knows what new wire tech we will see this year, and it's nice to have an affordable mod that will grow with the changes. :)

Overview of it -- looks very interesting, especially being able to run it with either 1 or 2 batteries:

even Brian want this in candy pink [emoji39]
cmon eleaf

btw i like how eleaf made the negative side as the spring side in this mod, and how they manage to make the left-right doors interchangeable. can't wait. just can't wait to get my hands on.

People have said, repeatedly, that the doors are specifically not interchangeable.
And complaining loudly about it, though I don't see the issue either way.

I haven't seen where that very early impression came from though, so I don't know which is the truth.

it wouldn't be a problem for me too (having the doors not interchangeable), but knowing how eleaf has put their effort in this matter... i luv them.

but wait, another thought, designing same batt door would probably make more sense in the production line somewhere, well at least those ppl in the assembling line would likely able to assembly the product faster this way.. and later they can package batt doors faster for the optional/spare batt doors to sell.
just a thought

Brian is a smart man, lol! I asked on the Eleaf FB page if they plan to do more colors but I didn't get a response. I will try to see if I can contact them directly and ask if there are any plans for more colors in the future. I am getting the white one, so I will let you know about the finish on it and if it would be easy to paint over. If not, there are always skins! :)

Because one side has the fire button hidden beneath, I expect they'll not be swappable.
I actually expect, looking inside with them in hand... the difference will be obvious.

The VTC's removable door has the magnets set so it cannot be fitted reversed (top for bottom).
Every time I go to place it, I expect this to be the time I have it upside down.
Hasn't happened yet.
I don't see a concern with the 100TC's doors either.

Both of the doors on this mod have the magnets on them, so I am inclined to believe that they are interchangeable but, as you stated, I don't quite get what the complaining was about, either. I suppose it's just easier to put magnets in all the doors so any of them can be used to fire the mod. :)
