E-Power 14650, genuine?

I ordered the "E-POWER 14650 Matte Black Kit" from litecigusa. The battery tube I received is definitely not matte black, but more of a gloss black. I opened a ticket with litecig asking about it, and they said "correct, it is a gloss black". I'm kind of upset, as the cartomizers that came with the kit ARE matte black. The tube also seems a little flimsy compared the build of the cartomizers. I've below you can see it's clear the colors are different. The battery tube is extremely ugly in my opinion, and I feel slightly misled. What you do you think?

The right side is the battery tube, and the left side is the cartomizer. They should not label the kit matte black, if the actual device isn't matte black ...

Here is another picture of some elses device off of google images. This person's tube is matte black, just like my cartos.

Hit it with some uber fine sand paper, you may get lucky. I'm sure you can find something better to get upset about. Sorry for what happened though

It just looks really tacky, and that bugs me aha. I was thinking about just taping it off and giving it some plasti-dip, if litecig doesn't do anything about it.

Yeah, mine is completely smooth. The carto's are the right color though. The finish on my tube looks like cheap paint, where the carto's and the pictures im looking at of the right colored tubes seem powder coated. Also, the battery tube seems slightly skinnier than the pictures and the carto's. It looks really lame.

If you look closely at my picture right where the battery tube connects to the switch assembly, you can see how theres a ring around the tube where it gets fatter for the threading, but then gets slightly skinnier all the way to the end of the tube, where it gets slightly fatter again for the cap threads. the carto's are perfectly symmetrical all around.

Mett, your E-Power 14650 looks genuine to me. I have the stainless steel version which I've given heavy use since November of 2011. If you look closely the the finish on my stainless steel Smoktech LR XL carto it isn't an exact match for the brushed stainless finish on the Smoktech E-Power 14650. I'm not sweating it, though.

That tube sure isn't matte black. More of a semigloss. If this is an issue with you I think you have legitimate beef with the vendor and should return it unused.

I wouldn't sweat it much, before too long you'll have to replace that carto.

They offered a complete refund, but I decided to just deal with the odd finish. I'm not sure why this tube is off compared to other matte black battery tubes .. but either way, they offered a completely refund, so +1 for litecig.

It's not that bad, vape it and replace it. If you are doing it for just looks, you're missing the point of vaping.
