Placed my order a few hours ago at litecigusa, got myself the following as a startup kit...

Joye EGO 650mAH manual battery x 2 - $33.90
Joye EGO rapid USB charger - $7.95
510 HV manual USB passthrough in matte black - $14.95
510 boge soft cap blank cartomizers 5pack x 2 - $15.90
555 10ml/16mg - $4.25
Cappucino 10ml/16mg - $4.25
Kamel turkish 10ml/16mg - $4.25
Ry4 10ml/16mg - $4.25

$89.70 shipped.

I placed this order after pondering the e-cig idea for almost a year, and after some massive online reading throughout today. I concluded that this would be the most fitting startup build for me, and if I enjoy it/quit smoking analogs...I may move on to something like a Chuck, maybe even try out dripping or a MAP tank on it, etc. But for now, I'll just try to be patient until my order arrives. Based on what I've seen, I'm assuming it will be here Tuesday or Wednesday.

So...until that day, anything I need to know about my specific choices? Anything I forgot to order? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Eta: Been smoking red 100s for 10 years, from 1 to 1.5 packs a day. Figured it was time for a change.

Looks like you got yourself covered with your order. The only thing that I might have ordered is a higher nicotine strength. I smoked Marlboro Ultra Lights and I vape 18mg. A lot of people vape higher than 18mg. But you will have to see what works best for you.

Some things that I would have like to know when I first started: It is not the same as smoking a cigarette. You will have to get used to the transition. But don't give up, give it time. Don't be discouraged if you smoke analogs and vape. After you get used to vaping, you will give up the analogs. Some give up analogs right from the start of vaping. A lot do not. It depends on the individual. Research this site for instructions on inhaling an ecig. Again, it is not the same as with an analog.

You will find a lot of good advice on this site. So, if you have any questions I'm sure you will find the answers here.

Enjoy your new adventure!!!

Thanks for the info! I'll definitely look in to those proper vaping techniques. My ultimate goal in doing this is to give up analogs completely, after 10 years I'm really tired of the coughing/wheezing/feeling like I'm having a heart attack after running/the smell/etc. Plus I build custom gaming PCs, so I'm having to clean the filter assemblies on my rig quite often...that brown sticky dust is gross and kills my fans, haha.

If 16mg isn't enough, I'll kick it up a level or two on my first monthly order. Of all the reading/research I did prior to my order, I didn't find much of anything that told me about what strength I should get so I chose "high" assuming it would be enough.

Eta: On that next order, I may grab some sort of carry case. I've seen stories of people activating/breaking their e-cigs by carrying them loose in their pockets, would hate to have that happen to my new gear.

I love my eGo!! Started with a cheap stick kit and got sick of changing and charging constantly. One eGo batt lasts almost all day. Have been using the Tank for about a week now and I will never go back to standard carts and attys. However I think the tank is a little delicate and not made for a lot of activity. If you carry it in your pocket (upright) I think it may have a tendency to leak. Since I pretty much have mine in my hand all day, that's not a problem for me.

The more and more I read, the more awesome reviews I find on the eGo. I'm really glad I decided to piece together my own kit and go with the boge softcap cartomizers as that seems to be a good option over atty+carto. I'm still trying to find out if there's a cheap/easy filler mod I can do to those specific cartos, or to the clear fluxomizer cartos since those look a bit cooler, in order to get a more even/tasty vapor.

I'll hold off on the tank stuff until I get a feel for this stuff, then maybe go with a Chuck or similar.

Needless to say, I'm really excited about trying this stuff out. I placed my order yesterday afternoon with litecigusa, my order hasn't been updated as far as I can tell, so it may not ship out until Monday. :\
