I was recoiling the KF insert from my BB yesterday. Took it apart and cleaned it. While I was drying the pieces I lost my grip on the upper chimney section and it hit the floor. a moment later I heard the clank as it hit the hot air vent and disappeared. Damned thing had to bounce in just the right direction then make its way round a dog bed to get to the vent. I could drop it 1000 times and not make it to the vent

I've dropped stuff down that vent before. There's a 2' drop into the box then the tube goes off sideways at a downwards angle. Once something gets into the tube it's a goner. Wife dropped a ring down there once and I had to go into the crawlspace and disconnect the tube. Long dirty 2 hour job. Several other lost bits and pieces came out. I got lucky this time, the chimney stopped on a narrow ledge at the opening of the tube. Had to stick my arm down there blind and grab it without knocking it down the tube. Felt like fate was toying with me.

I started out trying to make a fused staggered with ribbon in the middle but it was a disaster… I tried to fuse 2X 28g with 36 but it was springy as hell. I usually like to build mostly all my coils with SS316L but ran out. So first attempt 2 x 28g with 34/36 fused N80 and kanthal

    Second attempt went ok, 2 x 28 kA1 / fused 34/36 n80

Way back in the early stages of vaping I was able to squeeze dual micro coils on a kayfuns deck. It was really hard to manage with the small deck and single post screws in the middle... I'm going to attempt a dual somthing on one of my boro attys, I think I could do it on the Mobb2 or the No Name because the decks are a little bigger then the 14mm boro attys I've used.

I really need to stick to metal mods, every time I wake up in the morning I have to look for my mod somewhere under the bed...f#@k!
I keep a big towel on the floor next to the bed. Mods are less likely to break when they hit the floor and less likely to bounce away under the bed.

Where all this began, for everyone.

11 months later, in what seems now like forever ago, this is where my BB journey began.

"Now the only thing to decide is which mod-or-mods, if any, am I willing to sell off. Because I simply can't use all this stuff!!! And rest assured that it will NOT be the BB."

How naive I was at the time, having NO idea just how many mods would grow inside these walls.

That first raw aluminum Rev3 is still in regular rotation, and still gives me my best vape, all things considered. I have three more anodized Rev3s, and they'll never leave me.

A very sad day, indeed. :(

I can't even imagine what VapeWorld would be like if we'd never known them.

I wonder if people like SXK will go on making them.

If people are buying, someone will be making...

    :thumb::thumbs:

There are quite a few good brands that have disappeared lately.
Vapor Giant, Flash-e-Vapor, MM Vapors, and now Billet Box

Yes - it's been a sad and slow demise since it all began (so many moons ago, now).

The conscious and intentional destruction of a cottage industry that financed itself, grew itself, and even policed itself, is something that should be noted and noticed (but it probably won't be).

Borderline criminal, which makes sense when considering who and what were behind it.

@Tor R are you saying that BBV is closing down? If so thats crazy, the pioneers of boro life gone. BB mods will sale for years and years after closing…
As far as I understand they will not produce any more billet boxes.
Someone asked about service repairs, they will do it, but not for very long.

Now they can of course return, but usually elite companies do not return.

Some of you will already know this, but Anna re-posted this on FB a day or two back.

    The usual culprits, unfortunately. :-x
