Well after reading some positive posts, I decided to try again. This time using a 14500 battery. So far, so good. I guess that extra oomphh from the 18650's is just a bit too much voltage. I'm going to run this on this 14500 for a little while and then switch over to an 18650 to see if that's actually the issue.

Edit: They work OK on an 18650 but can't quite hold up to the juice demands. I'd love to see these tweaked so that they could handle 4.2v. I've been spoiled by using 18650's I guess.

Pete i think your right sometimes the 18650 are just too powerfull. havent used these cartos yet just waiting on the new ones i think but i think your right about working better on 14500. Keep us posted. I always value your opinion Pete. Thanks
