Infinity top and bottom caps

Sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't find it anywhere.
I have an original Infinity which would work really well with the 3.5 Smoktech tanks. Unfortunately it doesn't work as the tank bottoms out on the top of the Infinity before the carto gets to the bottom of the thread.
From what I can see, the Pro caps have a protruding atty connection as opposed to mine which is recessed.

1. Is there a modification I can make to my original?
2. Are the Infinity Pro top caps interchangeable?
3. Are the Infinity Pro bottom caps interchangeable (I might change both to chrome to match the tank)

You could get a 510 - 510 extender
No guarantee they will fit top/bot !

Ipro is slightly larger diameter than original infinity, I believe. I got an ipro bottom cap to fit an original infinity by slightly sanding the delrin threads, the metal disc of the cap extends slightly beyond the infinity tube.

No clue on top cap.

I should have mentioned that I do own an angle grinder.

1. Will that help?
2. Will it void the warranty?

Oh well, will just have to settle for a new BP.
Any ETA on the slotted ones?

You might be able to resize and rethread the delrin if it's worth the trouble. I just unscrew my carto a few turns when I'm not using it.
