I need to understand why:

I vape with the PT both 510 and 801 atty's and the 801 atty's die very often and the 510's never.

The voltage is the same. I vape at 5~6v

I'm trying to understand why these bloody 801's are so fragile?

Only with the PT i get dead 801's ...not with the prodigy stick.

If the pt had a short it would also kill the 510's?

I add more liquid to the 801's of course.
Blow them out frequently to ensure not too much liquid is stuck in there.
Since i vape at 6 volts, 2 second puffs are enough.

I find the 801 attys get very hot after 7~8 puffs.
Casey said replace them as soon as they are warm? They are warm instantly.

What the Eff am i doing wrong?

Anyone else with same problem??? Or is it just me getting senile?

there's your issue quo .... I used my Prodigy every day for what .... 4 months. My atomizer I let get hot MAYBE ... MAYBE ... 2-3 times over that span. Otherwise, I never let it get past warm. Sometimes, you just have to set her down for a rest.... Try adding an extra drop or two of liquid, etc.... or refilling 1-2 puffs earlier than you normally would.

I am not sure if i am just lucky, but i abuse the SH@# out of my 801's and they still have lasted about 3 weeks a pop, which is fine by me. I am at 5v though.

I am not even too careful with them, sometimes the dang things almost burn my finger they get so hot, at that point i let it rest, i don't know, i am just babbling on at this point.

What model are you using?
Be112?

After 4~5 days my draws start getting difficult and hard, which means the atty is clogged anyway.
5 days = 30ml of liquid for me.

The ones from Steve.

What juice are you using? I am not trying to bash anyone's rep here, but the dang JC juice...IMO.... murders atty's. I have had "0" issues with the PS juice.

I do notice the symptom you describe, but only when using JC, not with PS juice.
