Just placed my order.

"vape of the GLV-2"

The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
of the big vape they called "GLV-2"
The habit, it is said, never gives up her dead
when the cravings of nicotine turn gloomy.
With a load of juice eighteen drops or more
than the GLV-2 weighed empty,
that good cartomizer was a bone to be chewed
when the cravings of nicotine came early.

Awesome, standing ovation!

My GLV2 hasn't left my hand since I got it a week ago. I have two orders waiting to ship and already planning more bodies. I like options.

If you missed Click, Bang! on Sunday night, you can catch the replay by clicking the link below. Here is what we did…of particular note to GLV2 users will be the comparison between the Prodigy v1 and the GLV2...the Prodigy V1 is a resisted mod similar in some ways to the GLV2.

Any updates on when we will be able to order any of the replacement parts? It usually says "out of stock" on the website whenever I visit. I just want to order a new headcap, in a 510 5-Volt version. I broke mine, and after a long, long winter of no GLV, a lung infection, and finally a death in the family that sent me straight back to cigarettes about a month ago, I really would love to order a new head cap and enjoy my precious GLV again. I tried repairing it a little bit, but no luck.

Thanks,

Rags

Hi, happy GLV2 owners! I'm peeking at the site, very interested in maybe grabbing one of these guys, but having a hard time figuring out what color combo I'd like from the 'swatches' in the item description. Can anyone think of a place where I could go to get a look at some photos of these colors on actual GLV2s? Is there a photo gallery or anything? Thanks!!!

There's an image gallery on the Web site that has several pics but not all colors are represented.

The swatches give you a general idea but they really don't do justice to the colors.

Your best bet is to browse the many "pictures" threads here in the GLV forum. it will take some time as there are lots of pics but you'll get a much better idea about the available colors.

There's also a thread explaining how to choose a custom color from Powder Buy The Pound -Powder Coating Equipment and Supplies so you may want to read through that one as well.

Have fun!

I've been using dual coil cartomizer tank setups lately, exclusively on my Merlin (a VV box mod). I dial it in to around 5v under load and life is good.

I tried using a Silver Bullet with two AW LiFePO4 3.2v batteries which was ok, but a bit too much for me. When I measured under load, it works out to 5.5v.

I decided to try out my two mods that have an internal resistor (Prodigy V1 and GLV2) to see how they worked with various battery configurations.

First I tried the Prodigy V1 with a 1.5 ohm DC carto tank setup. Using the LiFePO4 3.2v batteries it wasn't ideal. Worked out to somewhere just over 4v under load. Not bad, but not very satisfying.

Putting two black AW 3.7v RCR123a batteries in the Prodigy rings out right around 5v under load. A great sweet spot for DC carto setups. Really nice vape.

Using two AW IMR 3.7v 16340 batteries in the Prodigy V1 worked out to 5.6v...too hot for me.

Next, I tried my GLV2. Using a GLV2 with a DCT will require a 510-510 adapter for it to screw on properly.

The resistor in the GLV2 is about 1 ohm, compared to the .5 ohm resistor in the Prodigy. Voltage under load was about 3.9v with the AW 3.7v RCR123a batteries. Not enough oomph.

Using the two AW IMR 3.7v 16340 batteries in the GLV2 yielded 4.5v under load. Very nice, but not quite enough. I think this would be a great vape for a lot of people, but I found the 5v under load from the Prodigy more to my liking.

If you like DC setups and you have a Prodigy V1 or a GLV2, give it a shot with two 3.7v RCR123a batteries or two 3.7v IMR 16340's, you'll might really like it!
