A sad announcement to my V4L family...

We haven't heard much from the Leaford camp, so let's all just take a moment if possible.

It's a HUGE world out there, but, fact is, there are real people involved in what it takes to make our lives easier and better. When you look at it that way, the world isn't as big as we think. It's pretty humbling when you think about it.

Leaf, if you are out there, we're thinking of you.

I am crying as I read this because it is the 10th or so anniversary of my uncles passing from liver desise, I really hope all is well with you and your mom. I am so sorry and you have been a great mentor towards me and I am sure a lot others on here.

I am sorry to say my mom passed tonight. She died peacefully in her sleep. Much of her family was here. The granddaughters arrived to say their goodbyes. We are trying to gather the money to bring in the oldest granddaughter and my brother for the funeral. The funeral will be wednesday.

I'm not a religious person myself, but if ever the saying "angel in disguise" meant anything to me that I could really comprehend . . . it's you and everyone else at v4l. I'm the only one of 4 children who doesn't smoke now and its all thanks to you guys. If people really would like to help, sign donor cards, you have no idea the amount of liver donations are currently needed, nor how many will be needed in the next 5-10 yrs.
