did i forget to do something ?

Last sunday i picked up a provari and 2 vivi novas and vaped pair of deuces and voodoo e juice (bleh)

two days after seeing the pictures i picked up a ZAP tank.

since i liked how the pair of deuces tasted, i thought hmm i should fill up the ZAP tank with it
the entire week i been tasting something funny in the juice. because it didnt taste as good as when it was in the
vivi novas.

so last nite i took the juice out of the ZAP tank and put it back in the vivi nova and it tasted the same from the zap tank.

i cant put my finger on it .. but i think there was something in the zap tank that made my juice taste funny

help ?

I had something similar happen when moving to the cobra rba.. I figured it was the true taste, not altered through the taste of wicks

but i started it from vivi nova tasted Great

then to ZAP tank with fresh juice.. funny taste along with the melon ( kinda like machine oil)
then moved the juice from ZAP to vivi nova. tasted like if it was still in the zap tank.

There is no comparison between a vivi Nova, and a zap.It just takes some getting used too.Flavors are much stronger form rba's.When i first used my ac9 it was so strong it made me nauseous, but after awhile i got used to it and now they are all I use.

im not comparing im tryin to explain what happened so someone can tell me what i did wrong.

fresh juice in vivi nova tasted great

fresh juice in ZAP tasted same with a hint of somthing.....
didnt want to waste the juice so i extracted the juice from ZAP and put it in
a new vivi nova and it tasted as if it was still in the ZAP with that hint of wierd... lol

I wouldnt eat off a plate I just bought without washing it first.
I certainly wouldnt inhale something from a device lathed, milled or lubricated with oil without first washing it thouroughly.

This is the warning from steammonkey.com

WARNING*

Wash all wick and wire you purchase, from me or anywhere. These products are manufactured on heavy machinery and subject to various machine lubricants and other potential contaminants. A quick rinse and thorough torching should be enough to clean the mesh. If your oxidizing process does not include a torch, I recommend boiling the mesh 2 times, changing the water between boilings. At least 3-4 minutes per boil.

Here is the link
Wick & Wire

At the very least you need to wash everything in hot soapy water.
Washing with alcohal can further aid in removing oil-based contaminents left from the maching/manufacturing process.
