Hi, so I'm interested in buying one of these liquids to try. I went to a vape shop that carried both liquids, but I couldn't get a good taste out of either. Meaning the shops equipment wasn't good for testing or it's just old and gunked up, hardly any flavor or vapor. So that was a wasted trip and it wasn't close to home. I want to hear which one you like better and why?

Thanks :)

I guess it all depends on your budget. Castle Long Reserve is an aged version of Castle Long, so if you don't like Castle Long you sure as he** won't like the Reserve. I've personally liked some of Five Pawns juices at the local B&M, but found I got tired of them halfway through a tank - they are really strong flavors and not for the timid. My suggestion would be buy the Castle Long and run it through your equipment. If you really like it after a tank, splurge on the Reserve and put it on the shelf until you work your way through the first bottle.

when mixing inert chemecals into a tinture?

I have tried both. Having worked in a vape shop which had a juice testing bar, I had the opportunity to try both in clearomizers and dripping on a RDA.

Castle Long is one of my favorite flavors of all time. The Reserve is subtly better (maybe or maybe not), but not worth the additional $10 to be steeped for 3 weeks in Oak barrels.

That's my :2c:

Crystal ball is saying another Five Pawns thread will end with the cost being too high... I can't speak for Castle Long or Reserve, but I do love Gambit and I don't mind the price at all. Best e juice I've had. Now since Bad does enjoy Castle Long I'll give it try, but I won't blame him if I don't care for it.

Castle Long has notes of coconut flavor (along with almonds and vanilla bean), which some people don't care for. I can't stand coconut in real life, but I don't mind it in my vape.

I wasn't immediately blown away when I first tasted it. It took a couple of weeks of daily sampling on the taster's bar for me to acquire a taste for Castle Long, but it really grew on me. I can atest that most customers went, "WOW!" the first time they taste it.

You sold me on it. I'll order a bottle to try and add another bottle of Gambit.

Gambit and Castle Long Reserve are 2 of my all time faves so far. Gambit is sooooo damn good, in my opinion. I've let others try it and they just don't care for it.

Castle Long is definitely an acquired taste. It's very complex with all the right notes. I think Bad's description hit it right on the head.

Gambit and I'm sure Castle Long are on the same principles of having to acquire the taste of it. The bottle I bought took me almost to the end of it before the my taste buds were hooked on it. Since then I usually buy two bottles a month. I have no thoughts of giving it up.

I will say this: I think it is more than a damned barrel steep that separates those two liquids! I think the regular tastes like a DIYers clone version of the Reserve.

A guy at a distant B&M told me they triple whatever flavorings they add to the regular CL. I don't know if this is true or not.

I just finished half a tank of the reserve and added regular CL on top of it.... I don't know, but it tasted amazing.
