Gambit, I liked it initially.... and then that custard note seemed to grow stronger. 5 pawns custard note taste like spoiled milk to me.... no bueno. Grandmaster on the other hand reminds me of NLV Gold on steroids! This is a good thing.

I agree with you here. Sometimes that note can seem rancid if its in certain set-ups, but others it sppoiled. For anyone interested in that note for their DIY, trust me on this one: buy Hangsen's French Ice Cream concentrate. Spot on.

I will say this: I think it is more than a damned barrel steep that separates those two liquids! I think the regular tastes like a DIYers clone version of the Reserve.

^this. also the non-reserve has a boozier flavor to me, and the reserve has that oak flavor and is just smoother, one of few super high end juices that lived up to the hype for me

Yeah, it's almost like the wood taste of oak. Like, oak wood. Like, Oakwood. :laugh: (DIY joke).
