Hey zeroclue, Thanks for the tip on mixing ratios, I'll try that with some juices.

I read great things about that coconut caramel & hazelnut honey and ordered it in my sample pack, but it's not really the one I'm most looking forward to. I don't actually have particularly high hopes for it, but I'll see. Might be pleasantly surprised.

How would you describe the bananas and cream? Overly sweet, not sweet enough, do you think a good banana and custard would be nicer? I was torn between bananas and cream and the banana mivvi from alchemists cupboard but ended up not ordering either.

It's funny you mention fizzy trifle. I've just been checking out Triphammer juices, fizzy trifle and Tigers Stripe. Everyone says they're delicious and quite complex, tiger stripes being similar but less sweet. How do you like the fizzy trifle? I've just this minute put together an order of 5 x 1ml samplers of triphammer juices at 60p each from smoke rainbow. Fizzy Trifle, Tigers Stripe, Christmas Pudding, Tripperblocker Glory and Puros Santa Clara tobacco. Will probably wait till I've received my alchemists cupboard juices first before ordering those.

Did your order arrive?
I've only really sampled the banana and cream one, keep trying a bit, but to me its yuk! Nothing like banana but I'm having trouble with any type of vanilla flavour so maybe its the 'cream' I dont like?
fizzy triffle is nice, a little fruity thing going on but not enough custard flavour for me. It didn't wow me like I was hoping but I keep going back for more.
The captian custard I mentioned has a really good flavour, could do with being a little stronger but I've only tryed it in my evod, just got the vv v3 so I can't wait to try it again.
Nicoticket is now available in the UK, going to order custards last stand and creme brulee, its more expensive but I just got to try them spiritusvapes, Author at Spiritus Vapes
available here if you interested.

I've tried several juices now since I started vaping over a month ago and haven't tasted a single one that makes me want to buy any more bottles of those.
:
For me..Vaping... isn't about Tasting.
Vaping is different.
Example:
Standing outside a Starbucks and breathing in the fresh ground coffee beans being brewed!!!..mmmmmmm yummy!
However!
Once I taste Starbucks Coffee...my opinion changes drastically...
Its way to bitter and tastes like licking a homeless persons hiney.

Smell is so very important. Think I get more smell than taste and my brain just says, "Who's got that Blue-Raspberry Danish?"

Also agree that Starbucks smells great and tastes like burnt coils. Grind my own beans, and DIY my own juice.

I am getting to the 3 week mark of heavy learning. I went with recommended batteries and clearomizers, but the juice is a big variable. With that in mind, I shop for samples to give things a try. One thing that really helps me is a spreadsheet for juices. I list the flavor, brand, where I got it and then notes. I am slowly going through samples, but in the end, I am looking for a good vendor and about 10-12 good flavors that I can trust.

I went to my first B&M that had taste-testing before buying and sampled two similar flavors and went with one of them. That made it a lot easier.

I will definitely go back to that store and now I have 4 flavors that I like. Anyway, a spreadsheet keeps me from buying the same bad flavored juice a second time.

Hope helps,
Jere

Started off with dekang and hangsen tobaccos and 3 other flavours, but have lost interest in tobacco flavours now.
Dekang blueberry is not bad but nothing special. Bit chemical.
Dekang banana has a decent banana taste but needs more sweetness. Chemical aftertaste.
Dekang cheesecake just tastes like vanilla but I don't notice any cheesecake. Chemical aftertaste.

I find that Lorann Cotton Candy works really well for covering up any strange/chemical aftertastes in fruity or sweet flavors. It doesn't cover up the original taste much and takes care of most aftertastes pretty well. It will make it a bit sweeter, I usually stay away from tobacco and other non-sweet flavors, so I can't say how it works with them. Taste is so subjective though, and that is just my experience with it.

I'm kind of .... myself and like spread sheets ;) Been wanting to a do a spreadsheet of http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...cussion/458263-3ml-cheap-sampler-bottles.html. I've found my tastes have changed quite a bit in the past 6 months since I started vaping. But would be good to have a vendor/flavor/notes section on each one I've tried just so that I don't reorder a bad one in the future. I've kind of found though that when I find something I like I go back for a 30-60ml bottle anyway. If it's something I don't like I just vape through it and it never crosses my mind to reorder it...still would be nice to have a spread sheet with notes though. Glad to see I'm not the only .... one around here ;)

Yeah mixing stuff is never a bad idea...well as long as you only do it a tank at time. One of my weirdest combinations that I liked was redbull, watermelon, and grasshopper (a minty type flavor). "Taste is so subjective" like you said and takes a bit of time, trial and error, to figure out what works for you. I was all about tobacco flavors at first and 6 months later that is the furthest thing from the truth. It just is going to take you some time to find what you like.

Not sure if I posted this to this thread already or not but http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...cussion/458263-3ml-cheap-sampler-bottles.html You can find a wide range of vendors/flavors to try out in small bottles to help you figure out what you like at first. When you find one you like you can always go back and get a 15,30,60ml bottle for economical reasons.

I agree guys, smells are often nicer than their taste!

AmandaD, difficult to get Grants Custard at the moment, he's taking a break according to his website. I definitely have to try it though!

zeroclue, good find on the nicoticket. Pretty expensive for 15ml, but good to know it's available. Let me know what you think of Custards Last Stand.

Yeah, my order arrived and they all smell amazing and incredibly realistic. Lemon Meringue pie smells just like it, can even smell the pastry. Can't wait to try that one.
Rhubarb crumble and custard smells just like it, as does the chocolate peanut butter cookies. The mint choc chip ice cream I can smell the chocolate and maybe the mint and ice cream will come through on taste. The coconut caramel and hazlenut honey smells very buttery, again, it'll no doubt come through on taste. Unfortunately they all have to steep for a week or two. :( I did try some of the rhubarb and custard but being unsteeped it tastes like fruity perfume and way too chemical at the moment, so, I guess when they say steep, they really mean it, lol. Once it matures I think it'll be awesome.

A friend sent me a 4 month steeped bottle of egg custard tart, also from alchemists cupboard. It smells vanilla/custardy but nothing like egg custard tart to me. I just don't get that one, as there's no nutmeg or egg flavour to me and I eat a lot of those things. Also, one of my evods seems to be tainting everything with a weird taste, I think the fixed tip on the tank might have something to do with it, maybe it's reacted with a juice. I get that weird taste just sucking on the tip with the battery switched off. Consequently, I've not yet experienced a good flavour from the egg custard. I'm going to try it in my other evod later, it's soaking in water at the moment.

But, I bought an IGO-W, a Kayfun 3.1 clone, a Sigelei Zmax V5 yesterday online, so I'm excited! Next week should be a better vaping experience. My liquids will be reasonably matured and vapable by then plus I'll have decent gear to try them in.

It's amazing the difference a decent set up can make :) I've finally quit the analogs!

Currently using my itaste V3 with evods, T3S and vapeonly ET S. Got 6 flavours in rotation atm.

Captain custard - steamgunk
twilight - steamgunk
bonking on the beach - alchemist cupboard
strawberry mint - hangsen
fruit punch - hangsen
and a franken vape - mint blast (hangsen) mixed with rootbeer (creative vapes)

Congrats on quitting analogues mate! Me too, even with basic evods, I've not needed to smoke.
How long did you steep the bonking on the beach before it tasted just right? All my alchemists cupboard juices have been steeping for a week since they were dispatched on the 27th and I've only tried the rhubarb crumble and custard so far. Was harsh and perfumey after 4 days of steeping. Today, more sweetness and rhubarb coming through but still harsh and perfumey. Should I expect 2 weeks steeping before I get the proper taste experience?

The ones I've had have been ok straight from the mail but definitely get better over a week or two. My OH ordered the bonking on the beach one, I got the coffee. It was our last order before xmas so I guess they have been on the shelf about 6 weeks now (about half a bottle left). I have had the hazelnut honey & banana one a good couple of months, not tried them for quite a while due to having about 40 bottles of liquid and keep going back to the same ones...must buy more bcc's!

Let me know how the rhubarb one turns out? might have to place it on my to try list!

what nic strength did you get? I find 18mg really harsh/rough much prefer a 12/14mg have some 8/10mg too which are ok.

What complicates matters for me is the same liquid tastes differently in different devices and or builds. It is a true quest for the perfect vape!
Haven't done any RBA but I definitely notice taste difference for some liquids on different devices but a lot more so in different tanks. I think I need to start cleaning them for first usage rather than just take out of the package...that may help? I even have some of the exact same tanks from exact same vendor just came in a different color. Like a 6 pack of the same thing but with different colors. Even those taste different with same juice some time.
