Just threw some Dekang blueberry out of my evod so I could try my cheesecake. Smells nice, like vanilla. On the draw there's a pleasant enough mild sweetness, and on inhale I can taste vanilla, nothing more. But I'm left with a nasty bitter aftertaste at the back of the mouth that is not sweet and can only be described as soap or perfume. Horrible! Is this because Dekang really is as bad as some people say or could it be that the blueberry has contaminated it? I'd rinsed the blueberry out the evod and dried it pretty well with kitchen roll, rinsed the flavour wicks and dabbed them with kitchen roll, and dry burned the coil in short pulses (haven't dry burned before). Then put it together and filled with just a small amount of the cheesecake. Any thoughts? This is authentic Dekang bought in the UK, but I don't know if it tastes any different from the Dekang stuff you guys buy in the US. When I was vaping the blueberry before the cheesecake, I had poured the blueberry into a new unused evod. The blueberry tasted better than the cheesecake, more sweetness, but kind of bland.

I would have posted in the UK forum but they've all gone to bed.

Hm.. have you tried steeping it? Not sure how new you are to vaping (just basing off number of posts), but if you JUST made the juice and it tastes funky, its pretty normal. I would say if the juice is really fresh, let it sit out for a few days with the cap off and some shaking every now and then and try it again later. The flavors usually mellow out and meld together and can taste a lot better. Give it a try again in maybe 2-3 days and if its still a little weird, give it a week or two. If it still tastes weird, thats probably how the juice is going to taste and won't change very much after.

Thanks, I'll give that a go. I'll leave the cap off for a few days. I might also try a new coil with the steeped stuff, to be more sure.
