I did do a forum search and google

Why am I getting a weird taste accommodating my juice most of the time?
I do soak the wick before tasting... And have little patience to let it sit for even 5 minutes.

Started building my coils for the new Aerotank mini.
Figured out my diameter preference (I think) and using rayon, with 30 gauge A1 Kanthol...wrapping 5 times.
I think less rayon is more???
'Nope, I ain't opened my $23 ohm reader yet as my battery protects against shorts... 900mah twist.

Do I have to blow torch the wick???
'Burn the wire for any more reason than flexibility???
Not getting floods anymore.

Thanks to all the guys who reads these and help us out... this stuff is such trial and error.

Wow.. Ok... well let's see....

Bottom line is this... Burnt taste is almost always a result of not getting juice to the coil fast enough... It's really that simple... So basically some parts of your coil are dry.... You just have to figure out why....

1) With rayon less is not more... In fact, you use a lot more rayon through a coil than you do cotton... If there are any areas of the coil not getting wet then it'll create a hot spot that results in burnt taste.

2) No you don't blow torch the wick... If it's rayon it'll go up in a puff of smoke...

3) Yes, you want to dry fire the coils before putting in the wick... Not only can you do this to squeeze them together and make them tighter, (assuming micro coil) but you also burn off residue and nasty crap off the wire... Plus you can look at it and make sure it's firing evenly heating from the inside out...

-Warpig... Thx for the welcoming and you're already real cool with your Black Sabbath nod

Thanks guys, though I'm still getting just now a hint of dry hit.
-wrapped a micro coil with maybe 10 wraps, much more rayon than before and let it sit longer than I'm used to along with a presoak.

I'm going to try organic cotton and maybe even silica as I never had this dry taste with the stock coils.

FYI I found burning ur coil and packing your rayon in large mass and density really squeezes ur micr coil smooshed together

You're guys input really helped me out.
