Different shipping options might be nice, but I really think they're fine just the way they are now.
With UPS, if the package is under 30lbs, they rape you on charges.
Not sure with Fed Ex but there is another plus to using USPS:
See, once the package gets into USPS' hands it's considered federal property. So if any states decided to make the e-cig illegal, they have no power to look or touch the package in any way.
Found this out b/c I work for a company that sells cigars (not cigarettes) over the net and ships from a state with very low
tobacco taxes to keep prices low. We used to always use UPS to ship b/c we can get a large bulk discount on shipping fees. But some of our customer's were getting billed by their state (MI being one in particular) for the tobacco taxes when we have never, and will never until legally forced to give out any of that information to state govt. The state was sending ppl onto UPS trucks to look at packages and opening them to bill them for the tax. With USPS, the states cannot do this.
Of course it also didn't help that we also found out that Mastercard was turning names over too.
