What voltage do you guys vape on? I am vaping on a voltage anywhere from 4.8-5.8 on a 1.6 ohm coil what do you guys have your device set at?

About 4.5 on a 2.0 Ohm coil. I normally use the Watt setting on my MVP though.

I'm kinda new to this but I may sound dumb. But I'm vaping on a vamo v5 I can't adjust the voltage and watts right? It's one or the other correct? Like when I adjust the voltage it automatically changes the watts right?

Correct, one or the other, not both.

If you set the wattage, it will adjust the voltage for the mounted atomizers resistance.

I build a single 1.6 ohm coil for my Kayfun Lite

10 wraps of 28 AWG wire around a 2.4mm (3/32") rod


Feed it 3.7v = 8.6 watts

The coil then draws 2.3 amps

5.8v into a 1.6 ohm single coil is 21 watts .... That's an awful lot of power isn't it?

On my 2.5 ohm coils I run about 4.3 volts. 2.8 ohm closer to 4.9 volts. It does it up right!

Yes it is I thought so to but I enjoy it the most. I'm just hoping it don't burn my coil up to quick

Voltage squared / resistance should be 8 to 10 watts. I prefer 8.5

3.6 volts, I'm boring. At 2.0 to 2.2 ohms depending on how I built the head, that's 5.9 to 6.5 watts.

Depends on what I'm vaping with. There are just too many variables to mention. For example, right now in front of me I have an IBTanked with a dual-coil Smok cartomizer at 1.5 ohms that I'm running at 3.7 volts, an Anyvape Davide Aspire tank with a 1.8 ohm dual coil that I'm running at 8.5 watts (3.9 volts) and a single 1.2 ohm microcoil on a DNA20 mod that is giving me a happy vape at 14 watts (4.2 volts according to the display).

I like both, really. I'm the kind of vaper that adjusts my settings throughout the day depending on my mood or my tastes. Numbers and units of measurement to me are just a means to an end, not the final solution.

Whatever gets me into the 6-7 watt range. With a 1.6 ohm coil in my Aspire Nautilus (BDC) that's 3v to 3.4v. Believe it or not, I get big clouds and great taste at that level. Once the head breaks in I sometimes go wild and crank it to 3.7v for a while.

I use top coils, so 1.6Ω would be in the 3.0 - 3.3 volt range, nice and warm, ton of vapor....

I basically started with a provari after moving from ego twists. Voltage is just something I'm familiar with. Had an MVP2 and messed with watts a little bit and never noticed a difference between watts and volts. I just have a natural sense of what voltage I want based on what ohms I'm running.

I cant tell you the voltage since i switch RDAs & clearos offten and they have diferent resistance, but i use arroud 8watts most of the time.

i want to know what temperature and how much surface area everyone's vaping with.

oh, and the cubic centimeters per time interval of airflow that your wicks and coils are exposed to.

but i'll play fair. i vape anywhere between 6 and 20 watts. all depends on what works best at the time with the particular equipment and how it's set up. though, to be honest, if it just doesn't perform, it's got to go.
