What UK shop sells Glycerine?

Hi guys i have ordered some 36mg and plan to cut it down with glycerine, i am in the UK and trying to find a shop i can just buy it from save ordering it on the net.

I recall seeing a thread stating that Boots Chemist sells it but i cannot find that thread now, can somebody confirm that Boots sells the correct glycerine that i need or suggest another UK shop that sells it.

Oh one last thing some people also use distilled water, can i get this from a shop in the UK or is it easier to just make it yourself?

Hi Boomer

Morrisons have 30ml bottles of Glycerine in the baking products aisle. Didn't really look all that closely as I'm not a cutter, but I think any supermarket will have an equivalent.

Yes Boots sell it. You can buy distilled water from ebay, you may even be able to get it from boots. I just make my own by filling the bottom of a large saucepan with water, floating a bowl in it and then placing the lid upside down on the pan and filling with ice. Bring it all to the boil and wait for the bowl to collect the distilled water.

Maybe i can trick the missus into buying my supply of glycerine for me lol

Thnx for the links, to be honest though up until i started vaping i have never bought much off the internet lol. I hate the whole situation of relying on the post and having to go and pick it up from the post office if it comes when im at work and it is recorded delivery.

That's why i much prefer having a physical shop i can buy stuff off when possible. I hope eventually ecigs will be so coomon that i can buy all my liquids at a store bu i don't know if that will ever happen?

Well i never got around to going to Boots until today lol, first i went into the normal section of boots and looked for it, after a whilst i asked the lady and she said the only one they sell is the Glycerine with Rosewater but i should try the chemist part, so i went over to there and all they had was this tiny tiny little bottle and even then i don't think it was pure glycerine but i did not pay a great deal of attention as i knew it's not what i wanted, i did get to explaining what i wanted it for and then she asked if i had my e-cig on me lol, i showed it her and gave her a e-cigs.co.uk card lol I think she may try them herself so in the end i never got the glycerine but i completed my first conversion haha.

Ill be trying morrisons when i have chance to get over there, i think maybe this is something that not all boots stock maybe only the bigger ones as it's not something they sell a great deal off.

I may even resort to ebay after all

Funny thing is though, I asked at the medicines counter, and then at the pharmacy and they told me they had none. I spotted it by chance on my way out by the cheap cough medicines.

Im sure it will! Next time i go down i will look there. I think im also going to print off a picture of the bottle to show one of the shelf stacking drones that just look at me blankly when i asked for glycerine lol.

I had the same experience - the Pharmacy counter told me that they didn't stock straight Glycerin. I ended up forking out £3.99 for 100ml from Neal's Yard, only to find it by the cough medicines in Boots the next time I was in there

I only just noticed you said coughs and colds aswell BadSeed, damn i was sure i read skin section lol.

Ill have to try again, i just had skin section in my mind for some reason when i went there. Ill try again when i get chance. I think it will be shut now until tuesday? As you can tell i don't know anything about shop times etc i only go to town when i really have to as i hate the place lol.

Maybe it was 97p, not £1.97. Dunno. Either way 200ml will last ages so it's not exactly expensive.

I bought several bottles of Dr Oetker glycerine from the cake making isle. I am assuming that it is safe as it is ok for vegetarians. It vapes well anyway and I have not had any adverse effects.

Ditilled water I bought from a petrol station.
