Volcano Ecig review

Oddly, I too received the kit I cancelled. The quality of the product does get high marks from me tho, as well as customer support when I finally did get a response.

I still am highly upset after ordering on the second, and only finding out on the tenth that the item that was supposedly 'shipped' was still sitting on their dock.

So far have only tried the 'Menthol' and 'Pineapple'. Menthol I could get used to, pineapple has a rather odd taste to me, have cherry and coconut to try yet. So far am giving it a 6 out of 10... will rate again when I've tried the other options...

Am planning to call tomorrow to find out whats up that I got my kit after cancelling... Not sure how they'll respond. But want to do the honest thing.

Dunkin ... I became aware that had shipped my order (despite the cancellation) and informed their customer service by email, but they said don't worry about it. This was one of the things that confirmed they have a good attitude and were caught by surprise by this whole event.

One question for you, though: are you having any trouble fitting an assembled e-cig into the V-Pack? JaydeeGirl said she isn't having that problem, but I am wondering if she has an earlier version from a different shipment. I guess yours must have come from the same shipment as mine. So I am curious. I really can't get that cig in there, so I have to carry it separately, which is a nuisance.

The menthol carts seem OK but also I am getting used to the regular ones. Last week I was using analogs too much and I didn't feel good. I have completely stopped on them now. The strange thing with me is that I only smoke when I travel, and I hadn't traveled for a while. I don't know why that is, maybe it's the boredom of being in hotels and on the road. Last week was the first time I had traveled (and smoked) in several months, and after smoking for five days straight, I felt like crap. This week I am vaping and feel much better. Now I am traveling all the time, so this is a great option for me. Eventually, I think I will stop altogether, but for now, vaping is getting me by. Cheers!

Stateside,
I don't have the Volcano, but I do have a Blu and when I got mine, I had a problem getting my E-cig in the pack, turned out to be the foam padding just wasn't lined up with the hole just right. With some help from a hobby knife, I made the hole in the foam line up with the plastic underneath and now all is well. Not sure if it is the same problem you are having but hope it helps. If it is the hole in the plastic underneath the foam you could try making it a bit bigger.

I just got my Valcano on Friday. It's the first e-cig I've bought and I love it. I will say that the vapor hit on the first 4 or 5 drags of each cartridge is awesome and then it starts to slack down. I would love to see this throughout the whole cartridge.

Also I have a question about the atomizer. I see that people are switching out for a Joy 306 or a Sidesho atomizer. Are these the same or are they different atomizers? Also do I have to use a different cartridge than Volcano's brand if I switch atomizers? Thanks for your help!

FYI, Sidesho attys are NOT compatible with blu (at least not on my new model 01/2010), can’t speak for Volcano because I don’t have one.

But the Sidesho atty doesn’t work; it will screw into the blu battery, but will not activate. (Something about the added collar on the Sidesho atty).

One of the above posts shows the Sidesho atty in a Volcano with picture and says it works great.

I did see that photo for the Volcano, and again, I don’t have one of those so I don’t know. But I do have a blu and Sidesho, and the Sidesho atty won’t work on a blu battery. (The blu atty WILL work on the Sidesho batteries... go figure.)

Maybe the photo is an older model of the Sidesho???

I've been using volcano and blu parts together from time to time. The atty's are a little different, the blu atty has a taller bridge now, but I get decent performance from my volcano. I do have to clean the atty regularly because I use VG only to vape. Good news is these parts are all compatible with 510 parts, and Volcano is releasing a new 510 manual model called Magma. I will be getting one soon, after winning it in a video contest they just held. They put together a nifty PCC for the new model that should be pretty cool. I don't know what the pricing will be for the new 510 kit yet, as they have not posted it on their web site, but it will be released very soon. I like volcano, didn't use the carts because they are PG, but for on the go, light weight e cigs, they are my favorite. Blu is ok too, basicly the same, but they take FOREVER to ship anything. I get my volcano stuff in 3-5 days from ordering every time, and they have great customer service. I am looking forward to testing out the Magma 510 to see if there is any difference from the generic ones I have been ordering directly from china. I think if you are looking for a simple e cig that gets the job done, volcano is a good place to start. Also they have added different color led choices to their batteries (green, red, white and soon purple)

When you put your cart onto the atomizer, give it a twist then pull it back off and see if the foil from inside the cart has covered the end of the atty. If so, carefully peel it off and put cart back in place. This might help.

Actually that did work. Thanks! I still get a little variations with my hits but for the most part I'm really happy.

I'm still wondering if using the other two atomizers I mentioned would improve performance.

What type of cleaning methods do you use on the stock atomizer? I've gone through about 5 cartridges so far and was thinking of cleaning it although I haven't seen a decrease in production yet.

Volcano batteries 100% work with SideSho/ModernVapor atomizers and carts. Because of the sleeve, it will extend the length of the unit 6mm. Definitely worth the performance improvements. Pic:

Sorry for the crappy pic, took it up close on my crackberry. It looks sharp IRL though. :D

I tried this and could not get the inner cartridge to reach the Sidesho atomizer correctly. I could be doing something wrong though.

I'm just going to be completely honest, but im kinda of a noobie at E cigs, but where are good reliable sites to get a 306 atomizers? could someone post a link for me cause now im really curious to try that on my volcano.

Ah yes, another e-cig user upset by the poor performance of the L88b atomizers. We all hear ya. rockymountainvapor.com is where I get my 306a atomizers for my L88bs (Blu/Volcano/Ekocigs).

Someone else asked how they interchange with Modern Vapor. While you can use the 306a atomizer inside the L88b mouthpiece with the L88b fluid bucket, and visa versa, you cannot use the 306a atomizer inside the Modern Vapor unless you drop a 306a fluid bucket inside. But then that just turns it into a regular 306a atty and cart. The Modern Vapor fluid bucket is super huge because its atomizer doesn't extend as far down the mouth piece.

Nevertheless, the Modern Vapor batteries screw right onto the 306a and L88b atomizers. It provides for a glorious experience.

My set up is 306a atomizers with L88b fluid buckets and mouthpiece. I like the L88b fluid buckets now because they are a little larger than they were a year ago. Also, they also have a little ridge at the top of the bucket that reduces the un-glorious experience of getting nicotine into your mouth.

I tried to use the Sidesho atomizer with a Sidesho cart on the Volcano battery but the atomizer didn't seem to reach down far enough but I might have not filled it completely where it is so much longer than Volcano's inner cart.
