Ok, so I just had to post this because I found it interesting and I wonder if others have tested this and what results they have found.

I just bought 3 2.8ohm replacement heads from my local vendor. Every time I get a new head or any vaping tank/atomizer/cart, etc. I always check the ohms on my Provari and multimeter. Not sure if everyone is this ...., but I am always curious in general.

Anyway, I have never had these heads read at what the ohms actually state they are supposed to be. Not a big deal as it usually is off anywhere from .1 to .4 ohms. Even less important on a VV device.

However, ALL three heads I bought each measured exactly 2.8 ohm on my Provari and multimeter! I found it very cool and interesting.

How off have you found ohms to be on these or other devices?

Very rarely. My rebuilt heads though turn out consistently 2.7 ohms with 5 wraps.

Just curious- what wicking material do you use when you re-build? I have been working with the #1 cotton candle wicks and I can't get the vape I want out of it without burning the cotton, even when it's thoroughly saturated.

I was using 34 gauge Kanthal with 4 wraps and ohms coming out to 3.1. If I can find a good wicking material I do want to continue the re-build method.

I bought the vivi nova "kit" at madvpaes, so far I've only used the 2.4 head. When I first filled the nova, it metered 3.0 on the provari, now, 5 days later it meters 2.7ohms. I'm vaping at 4v.. anything higher and I get a hint of burnt taste. While I like the vape... I won't be throwing away my cartos and tanks any time soon.

I'm wanting to rewick mine with cotton wicks... I see a lot of kanthal wire on ebay but I don't know which one to order.. can someone provide a link to the correct wire?

I recieved 2 packs/1.8Ω of Kanger T2 heads
One pk, all 5 ohmed @ 1.8Ω and the other pack of 5 all ohmed 2.8-3Ω out of the box.
After a few days of use, I did notice that the higher ohmed heads are settling in around 2.4Ω.

Why is everyone rewicking the nova heads, are they that bad out of the box or is it that you just can?
I don't mind rewicking my rebuildable, but for under $3 bucks, the wife isn't going to want to unless the zombie apocalypse happens.

Yeah, I'm using a hybrid coil (cotton core/mesh) in my rebuilds, but everywhere I see the vivi novas mentioned, everyone is talking about rewicking.
That has me wondering if the original coils are that bad?
The wife is using the Kanger T2's atm, but I was going to drop a few nova's or mini's in my device order tomorrow for her to try/compare.
She's not going to get into rewicking and I'm not going to get into that much fiddling, so if the replaceable heads just work, then life would be good.
