I recently was stung by scorpion several times on my hand. Unfortunately, I had an allergic reaction to it. Since then, I can no longer vape the ejuice I have vaped for years: 100% VG with 20 mg "Strawberries and Champagne" from Vaporescence. My face and neck swells. Headache. Numb face due to the swelling, difficulty breathing and ringing, burning ears. I tried 60/40 of the same flavor from Vaporescence with the same result.

Unfortunately, I cannot abide 100% VG. I can't stand 50/50 for that matter. It tastes like I'm sucking on a bar of soap rather than vaping my PV. It's been a month and I still have the same problem. I've gone back to analogs. :(

I'm hoping somebody can help me with VG that does not taste like soap. Is there a "clean" tasting VG or does all VG taste like soap? Is there anything I can add to it to cover up the soap? The soap completely drowns out any flavoring I've tried. Some other chemical possibly?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you asked an allergist about any of this? I know nothing about connecting dots to an "allergic" reaction to a scorpion sting - that's a reaction to venom, not an allergy - and the onset of the issues you describe.

VG is generally flavorless with possibly a slightly sweet edge to it. I've never head anyone describe VG as tasting like soap. Where are you getting the VG from?

Beyond that, are you sure you aren't now having an allergic reaction to the strawberry flavoring in the liquid? Some people are highly allergic to strawberries.

I'm sorry to hear that! Vitamin Cottage/Natural Grocers VG is awesome. VG has a naturally sweet taste, so I think this is not an issue with the VG but an issue with what your body just went through. Unfortunately, I think switching VG's probably won't help. I had the same kind of thing happen after I was in a bad car accident, I used to love banana's, and for about a month or two after the accident I couldn't eat them because they tasted awful.

You have been given superpowers and now can taste down to an higgs bosom the God particle.
Vg is commonly used to make soap bases so wow.
I try vaping my vg bare it goes in tasteless comes out sweeter than sugar.
Try an njoy analike from the store if that taste like soap my suspicions are correct your Scorpion.

Look at your hands, try to mentally form a barb and chain while yelling "get over here" aim away from children and pets.
Do whatever it takes to get off the analogs
many backsliders make up the most saddest excuses cause lazy with ecig growth and reaping the growth pacification.
Not saying thats you but people I know they, them.
2 have gone back to analogs and I tell them about advantages of better atomizers and mods
but they assume analikes will suffice and that it will be the same. Whatever

Regarding allergic reactions, any extreme hit to your immune system, such as what you describe, can cause hypersensitivity. Proceed carefully, avoiding anything that causes reactions. But often it is difficult to determine exactly what is causing the reaction, because one specific component of a mixture may be the trigger.

Regarding taste in VG, I am currently vaping 90% VG unflavored juice that I DIY-ed with ingredients from Nude Nicotine, and I can not taste anything except slight sweetness. I am pretty sensitive to tastes and smells; I can taste whether grain was packaged in cardbord. For a quick test, you might go to a pharmacy and get straight USP VG and try vaping that by itself in clean equipment.
