Away..
I'm in Ohio too and see the same problem.
I've added pharmacy grade USP glycerine and see no more fog.
Thicker juice.
They say glycerine is glycerine source doesnt count.
I can't prove that from my experience.
Wiltons is supposed to be the best, from what I read.
I've heard Hobby Lobby carries it.
There is one in Chillocothe. That cant be the only one in Oh.

I'm gonna mail order some and eat the shipping just to see.........

You have a Walmart nearby?

Go back to the crafts section, where they have the baking/candymaking supplies. You will see paper doilies and candy molds.

Somewhere in there they should have Wilton's glycerine. If you don't see it, ask someone, because I think all Walmarts have it.

If they don't (or if you are miles from a Walmart), make an order at Lorann's for flavors, then add a couple of bottles of their glycerine to your order.

I wouldn't order it all by itself--it will cost more to ship it than the stuff is worth.

I'm in Cincinnati, I've seen Glycerin in both Walgreens and Walmart. It's with the band-aids and stuff. It was the same label in a clear bottle about the size of a coke can at both places and neither said vegetable, just "Glycerin".

EDIT: This is very similar to what it looks like:

Yes, we have 3 super Walmarts. All have glycerine USP. But not vegetable glycerine.
The glycerine in your pic looks like the brand we have at the local pharmacy. At 30% mix it fogs no better than without it.
I've been told glycerine is glycerine and vegetble glycerine fogs better and Wiltons is the best.
Looks like a 50 mi drive or a net order to find out someday.\Ordering alone would cost more to ship than the bottle itself.
I'll find some eventually. I just hope I'm not disappointed.

I had the opposite results. When I started DIY ejuicing I was using straight PG and was kinda foggy until I took it in my lungs, then it went clear. When I added this stuff at around 25% of the entire mix, it clouds as good as the pre-flavored juice you buy.

But.... now I'm curious about the Wiltons... Bigger fog is always better. Guess I'll have to find some of that and compare.

Wish someone would post here that they tried both and Wiltons was far superior than synthetic glycerine.

I think someone DID post that exactly over in the DIY e-liquid board. I was reading there a lot last night and made up a list and went shopping today. I found the Wilton's glycerine at an A.C. Moore (it's a big craft store like Michael's but I don't think it's nationwide.) The Wilton's is a food thing whereas the other is a skin softener. So, chances are the Wilton's is going to be better, and I'm pretty sure somebody did try both and said that.

This is the VG I've been using folks

NOW Foods - Vegetable Glycerine - 4 fl oz

The site also has a store locator, most health food stores carry it. No, it isn't labeled USP, but it is marketed as pure vegetable. I've been real happy with it and it does MOST assuredly increase the vapor! Tasty too :D

Sorry to dig up an oldish thread, but the NOW stuff apparently IS USP food grade stuff. Here's a link to their site NOW Foods - Vegetable Glycerine - 16 oz.. Going to try to find some here in Japan. I've seen in on websites here, just hoping I can find it in a store.

By Gum it does say USP! These old eye's... you know the rest...

Great save jboze

Hello Ohio, I was from there too years ago, drug emporium if there still in Ohio has vg in it in a colored bottle made by now foods. in a blue bottle with a yellow label.

label imfo * Item#: 7700
* Manufacturer SKU: 733739077004

* 100% Pure
* Cleans, softens and moisturizes your skin

Vegetable Glycerine from NOW has a rich, lubricating, oily texture, yet is easily soluble in water. And because it is derived entirely from vegetable oil, it is hypoallergenic and suitable for use in all of your favorite cosmetic applications. Its softening and moisturizing features are ideal for making your own facial and body care products, to give your skin a healthy glow.

NOW® Vegetable Glycerine has a sweet taste, and has a long shelf life as it is not easily oxidized.

Sorry tied to post picture but some rule said i needed 15 post lol.

Im in Arizona and Ive found VG in all the health food stores and some places like Walmart, Walgreens and CVS. Its not Wilton brand. I am curious if Wiltons makes a better vapor too. Although I am happy with the VG I have, more vapor would always be a good thing. I add a little to almost all my flavors for that extra punch. I will wait to see if someone here has used other brands and if they are different.

I have Wiltons brand Glycerin and Now foods Vegetable Glycerin.

I get a lot more vapor with Wilton's over The Now foods brand.

Now foods still increases the vapor quite a bit over PG liquids.

Even though Wilton's increases vapor by so much, I still only use the Now foods brand. I get a cleaner taste from my flavorings which is more important to me than vapor.

I've tried the Wilton's brand with six of my favorite lorann's flavorings and something about the flavor tastes dirty.

I've settled with a 50%PG (48mg PG from Nhaler or Platinum Ice 54mg PG) base and 25%VG (Now Foods) and the last 25% is flavoring and distilled water depending on the strength of flavoring.
I find that anymore than 25% VG is too thick for my liking, but everyone is different.

Places I purchased:

Now VG : Sprouts
Wilton's Glycerin : Hobby Lobby
