Vegetable Glycerin?

I recently bought 24 of vaportalk menthol liquid, it's making me very uneasy so im assuming too much nicotine. I was reading on how to cut it so it's half with Glycerin, I just bought a bottle of Swan USP Glycerin at CVS they said this is the only "Glycerin" they had I asked about using it to cut the e-liquid (which was stupid considering he never heard of it before) he could not tell me if it was safe or not... I bought it anyway haven't used it yet though only because it says on the front EXTERNAL USE ONLY. what exactly do i need to buy i can't find anyone that knows what i am talking about and i dont want to use something harmful.
Swan, to my knowledge MAY be animal based(they use both vegetable and animal source). The Humco source CVS Pure Glycerin, USP you are looking for will be in a 6 ounce clear bottle in the skincare aisle. This is USP grade, made and contract packaged by HUMCO Inc.,(for CVS and several other major pharmacy labels) and Humco uses ONLY vegetable sourced Glycerin. The best advice I can give (other then what I just stated) is to read this thread below and it will explain alot about what USP is and why you should only use USP sourced Glycerin. It will also explain what HUNCO is and why I, as a Pharmacist, would only recommend Humco branded Glycerin, USP.:

P.S. All Glycerin,USP will be labeled "for external use" as this is the only FDA approved indication(so far) for Glycerin, USP Over the Counter. It doesn't necessarily mean it's not safe for inhalation use(as all inhaled Glycerin in inhalation Rx products must be USP grade) it is just an FDA labeling requirement for this specific OTC product. But I would use Glycerin, USP(Humco Source) before anything I would by in a "health food" store , since there is no true regulation of "natural" or "health food" products. markarich159 I just found it on the CVS website, I'm just concerned over the external use only and the do not ingest stuff on the warning label. Is this a concern for Vaping? I cant post the link since im not over 15 posts but its the clear bottle with the blue circle?
To answer both your questions, At this point, YES all CVS Glycerin, USP(and many, many other labels) is manufactured and contract packaged by Humco(If that changes to my knowledge , I will let everyone know).
The clear 6 oz bottle with the blue dot label IS CORRECT(CVS Pure brand Glycerin, USP). As I had mentioned previously 2 or 3 posts up, this is an OTC labeling convention required by the FDA since , technically, the only FDA approved OTC use for glycerin, USP is as a skin protectant/humectant. But you can be assured, it is the same glycerin, USP that a compounding pharmacist or drug company would be required to use if they were manufacturing an inhaler or nebulizing solution for inhalation use. Glycerin, USP is Glycerin, USP as long as it is properly labeled(for OTC use as described in this thread):

I've been using the exact same CVS Glycerin, USP to cut my eliquids for months now.
The stuff you have to be leery of , is the stuff you find in "health food" stores or in the dietary supplement section of vitamin/natural product stores that is labeled as "Kosher 100% Vegetable Glycerin" or"100% pure USP vegetable Kosher Glycerine" etc... again, read this thread:

I've been using the Rite Aid Skin Protectorant Glycerin USP and...well, I'm not dead yet.
The GS carts are PG, not VG. I have a GS kit, but was soon much happier with a 510 system. I tried adding VG juices to the GS carts, but it just didn't work well. No matter how I added the juice, the carto became either clogged or gurgly. And the GS passthru I got burned the juices I added.
I also didn't really get huge vapor from thhe GS even with stock carts. It was ok, but the 510 was way better. So I came away thinking all those vids were to make us think we were getting big vapor when we weren't. It was certainly not a "vapor monster", although the PT with stock carts was pretty good...at 5V it should be. The batts didn't keep charge after a while, but I had it more than the warranty period, so was screwed.
That said, the batts are "E9" batts, and there are other E9 models. There may be a vendor that sells VG E9 cartos...and probably would be cheaper than GS's expensive prices. Nhaler sells e9 stuff, so you might ask Drew (owner) if he can do VG.
I noticed that now GS is claiming one carto is equivalent to 2 packs of analogs. That would be 400 drags per carto! I think they are getting desperate. I hate to recommend this, but if PG is an issue for you (it is definitely for me) then returning the GS and getting another better model would be probably the best remedy. A quick goggle search for VG e9 cartos came up empty, I'm afraid. Good luck!

Ill just try the PG GS on Friday. I've had it for over a month now, gotta use it sometime.
