This is a good indicator because I've seen computers that come from smoking houses - AWFUL!
yes. I have a friend who lived in an old house with little to no air circulation, and he used to smoke pretty heavy in his upstairs bedroom. I've seen orange plastic (disc drive faces, crt monitors...) that used to be white.

One thing to think about... If you are vaping to eventually quit smoking/vaping all together, it may be better if you vape as you did when you smoked. Vaping lazily in front of the computer or watching tv can become a habit/trigger in itself when you try to stop completely.

+1 with this. I feel like if I ever relapsed back to analogs, I would smoke twice the amount I did originally. The convenience of vaping and satisfying my urge anywhere I want has strengthened my nicotine addiction.

My current apartment is in a non-smoking complex, and while there's nothing in the lease about ecigs, I haven't pushed the issue with them, as they tend to come down on the wrong side of issues, and can be somewhat heavy-handed about things - we all received a note on our doors recently about "someone is smoking [something illegal]! And it's illegal! If you smell it, report it!" - which besides being insulting, made me even more convinced to not push the issue with them. I vape indoors, I just don't do it with the door open, or out on the balcony. My vaping has not done any damage that I can see, and I run an air cleaner with an ionizer for pollen and dust, anyway. My neighbor said she never smells anything. I keep things pretty clean, and I'm not noticing anything on bookshelves or on my monitors (i run a large monitor, an iMac, and a 24" Wacom monitor). The last time I cleaned the vents on my computer, they were spotless. I wash the windows twice a year, and they're pretty clean.

Speaking of, the last time I cleaned a laptop that was used in a house I smoked in, it was scary how gunked up the cooling vents were with tar.

I'm pretty new to vaping.. also never smoked indoors, but vape all day inside! I haven't personally noticed any problems. One non-smoker asked me not to vape around her because it bothered her (not in the same way as smoke!), but she's pretty sensitive and has allergies. I also use 100% VG, so 'thicker' clouds..

Vaping in the house instead of having to go outside to smoke was one of the benefits I used to convince my hub to give up the stinkies along with me - it became a super-effective argument once winter hit (picture me vaping indoors, nice and warm, waving to him while he shivered on the patio!) We both vape *a lot* indoors, and I've seen no buildup at all. It also doesn't bother my dogs or my parrot at all, and parrots are very sensitive to even trace toxins. In my car, I notice it on the windows when it's cold, but I think that's mostly liquid condensation with the windows closed - it's nothing like the nasty brown film that used to build up with smoking even with the windows open.

My husband and I have both been vaping in the house for almost 7 months now. We never smoked inside.
The ONLY effect I've seen is that since it has been cold, the window in the office we share (and spend most of our time in) got covered in a film. It's white and looks just like when your mirror fogs up when you take a shower. Comes off easily with windex.

Also, this has only been in the cold weather and has happened in our cars too. The monitor I blow vapor on all night is absolutely fine, so now doubt this is temp and/or moisture related.

We both lay in bed and watch TV and vape.. it's great!

I vape in my house and both vehicles. I haven't noticed any film at all anywhere. There will be build up from cooking and just general stuff in the air but unless you are fogging up the house or your car, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. As a sidebar, the stink in my truck from smoking has finally gone away! That is a plus within itself!

None... not even around the spot where I chain vape all day every day (retired.) I use white printer paper on top of my mouse pad, sit about three feet from my computer monitor (big screen) which is in a corner made by white walls. No build up whatsoever on any of those including my monitor nor on the white blinds I'm even closer to.

Edit: Ooops forgot to say that's for a year and a half + a little.
