1 week observation...My house smells

that about a month after putting down analogs, I started to notice smells in my house and car—mainly the stale residue of tobacco resin. I cleaned every surface at least twice and then I could smell the dog and what I cooked for dinner the previous evening. Now I've set out bowls of potpourri, fragrant oil sticks and various aroma products so that my life has become a kind of fragrant dream. :)

I have a "defective" nose. After a head injury 30 years ago, I lost my sense of smell. Over the years I've gone from not being able to tell the difference between biting into an onion v. biting into an apple, to being able to detect some "changes" in the air though I cannot identify any smells. I buy all these heavenly flavoured juices and have to imagine them rather than smell them. The most I can tell is how "smooth" they are in my mouth but could not really identify them. I can sometimes tell when my husband is smoking a cigarette, but not always. (I won't tell you about the time we both quit smoking, or so I thought.... as he continued to smoke behind my back.... without my being able to tell.)

Anyway, just wanted to tell you all how great it is to hear that things don't stink any more. I'm waiting for my husband to smoke his stock of analogs and switch to vaping too. :)
