I really like Capella coconut. I was really up on a coconut flavor I was buying at my B&M before I began DIY. A straight 50-50 PG/VG 1.8% nic base with 15% CAP Coconut blows it away.
I think you can get a toasted effect from TFA Brown Sugar Extra 1-3%.
Edit: Idea from HIC, adding TFA Toasted Marshmallow.
Are you not tasting the coconut because the banana overpowers it?

I tried the coconut in just a 50/50 1.8% nic base and it tasted unflavored to me up to 11% and I gave up. Might just be my tongue.

I have problems tasting coconut in my mixes too, tried Inawera and Flavour Art and it either tastes too faint, musty or of nothing. Going to try TFA Coconut Candy next, though I don't hold out much hope.
Been tryin with the coconut for a while, started a couple of threads on it myself... it's surprisingly difficult. Heabob's brown sugar extra suggestion is used often, but I can really taste it over the coconut. So far Capellas and Hangsens are working best for me, but none are really a bakery type, and I sweeten them..
Funny how everybody's tastes are so different, as I can't even tell what the Brown Sugar tastes like, lol.
(Unless I drip some on my finger)
But I'm using it at 1% or less...
And I wouldn't use sweetener for coconut either, but that's just me, lol.
Instead Marshmallow, Whipped Cream, Sweet Cream, CAP Vanilla Custard v2, etc, will help to give it a sweet creamy-ness IMO.
Prolly find out later that it only takes 5 drops of Ripe Banana to push it over to nice-ness
