So... I've finally made the jump and got my first cartotank. Is a DCT by Smok, running dual coils at 1.5 ohm. Can't say that the vapor clouds are more dense, but the flavor is coming through a lot stronger than it did in my PTII. The vape is definitely warmer, but my juice doesn't get fried like it did so quickly in the PTII. I've jacked the wattage up, and no bad results so far.
It's not the big fancy tank that I would have wanted from say, a place like IBTanked, but as a starter, it'll do for awhile. Thinking about giving my PTII to my fiancee. She already has one, so she could use it as a spare.
What I like about these cartotanks, is they seem to be cheaper to get into than a standard tankomizer. Of course, cartos will be more expensive in the long run, but I'm prepared for that.
My next experiment will be with a dripping atty. Not so much for vaping's sake, but it would be good for sampling flavors. Will fit right in line with my the idea of DIY juices (my next "major" learning experience in vaping).
Anyway, just thought I'd toss that out there.
Happy vaping!
