Maybe this is a dumb question but how many pods and coils would last apx 5 years?

I just did a vape shop search in my area and so far haven't found one stocking Innokin / zenith coils.

I figured I need 2 Z coils per month--they last at least two weeks the way I vape, sometimes longer. So, per my calculations, you'll need at least 24 boxes of Z-coils for 5 years. But I use other devices, also, like my Sceptre and an occasional RTA. YMMV

I have ~45 boxes of Z and~ 45 Sceptre coils. I got mine from different sources--Kanger Wholesale, HealthCabin and Sourcemore had the best prices. I've been slowly building my supply of coils for the past year or so.

I have 2 Kroma-Zs, 1 extra pod, extra 510 adapter; I also have 4 big Zlides, 1 little Zlide, and 1 Zenith.

Not a dumb question at all . . . AND - Besides what @Katya said, I would suggest that it all depends on your vaping habits and what kind of e-liquid you vape.

First, extra PODS, while they seem quite strong and I have not had any problems with the 2 PODS I am using right now - you never know what may or can happen. As such, I do have an extra 4 Kroma Z PODS so far.

NOW - for Coils . . . Personally, Z-Coils - both 1.2 oHm & 1.6 oHM coils (and even Sceptre coils) - last me a long time, especially since I use 50/50 Unflavored NIC e-liquid w/ Koolada and a 1-3 drops Menthol Crystal Liquid. On average, I use a single coil anywhere from 60 - 90 + days before I would have to change it out. So given that at a bear minimum using a single coil for 60 days / 2 months - at that rate I would have to have 6-8 coils a year or better yet 2 boxes (5 coils in each box - 10 Coils) per year on the possibility that a coil might be DOA or needs to be changed out earlier - so for 5 years I would need at least 10 boxes (50 coils) to be safe - although I do have a lot more then that . . .

BTW: Just remember, depending on the e-liquid you use, Z-Coils can easily be cleaned and reused.

Hope that this information is somewhat helpful . . . :D

Do you like the 1.2 better than 0.8? I have 9 boxes of 0.8 and 4 boxes of 1.6 incoming with 2 added pods and 1 adapter. I'm kinda nervous about ordering from Sourcemore now. I don't see why it wouldn't arrive though. I think I'm panicking.

I vape light fruits; dragonfruit, watermelon, peach, tea and my sin is coffee. And unflavored. Max vg. I'm guessing I'll like the 1.6. Reviews claimed the 0.8 lasted longest. The Innokin store is still showing the 25% discount. Now I'm thinking of getting another as backup.

I have tons of old gear. Last splurge.

My pkg showed it was at LAX 3/30. That took less than 4 days! 2 of those days were spent bouncing between HK and China.

 Better ? Honestly, I don't know . . . However, given "My" vape style and to reach that vaping "Sweet Spot" for "Me" - I prefer using coils that are above 1.0 oHm coils . . . The majority of coils I have and use are 1.2 oHm & 1.6 oHm . . . Just Sayin' . . .

Well I did it. 15 more coils, 2 more pods, another 510 and well hell...another Kroma-Z. In white this time.

 CONGRATULATIONS

IMHO - You didn't go wrong . . .

I'll be eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for months.

SO it makes it a little less boring and more enjoyable - Don't forget to mix it up a little . . . Chunky, Almond Butter, Apple Butter, Fruit Jellies/Preserves/Marmalade's, especially breads - Rye with seeds/Wheat/Sourdough, etc . . . Don't limit your choices . . . Just Sayin'. . . .

I wish local vape stores carried mtl gear.

SO AGREE ! ! ! However, not going to happened given how they are stuck on higher end power MODS and selling just NIC Salts & CBD . . . :nah: :(

I am going to have to switch it up. Thx for the idea. Such a simple and obvious thing. I figure out my costs vs what I'd spend if I still smoked. A lot less pain but true. I hope folks jump on the modding track like they did in the old days.

I always vaped over 1 ohm too until GS airs came out with their .75 coil. That changed the game imo. It depended on how the coil was designed and power but I've avoided building. I've got 1 ares tank 22m on the way and intend to get the 24m eventually.

Innokin posted (reddit sub) that pods have an avg life of 2-3 months. Yikes. I don't have near enough. Ugh.

This is not all I have. I admit I have a shineyitus addiction, but I can't fault it if it keeps me from smoking.

I'm worried I'll have to toss old stuff. Vape Vet (or something) used to pass out donated gear, free, but they don't seem to be around anymore and I haven't heard of an alternative.

Just remember, to try to clean them first before tossing - I already have. Took a little effort, but it can be done. (Next time I am going to use an Ultra-Sonic Cleaner I have as I do with coils and tanks.)

Also, if you are going to get any more PODs might I suggest you check out the Innokn store. I know it has been posted before - they are only $4.99 each and IIRC shipping is only $3.00 no matter how many you get:

Kroma-Z 4.5ml Pod

Hopefully, the Discount code to get 25% off still works too: USS25

Just Sayin' . . .

Pretty sure coils, not pods.

I'm not so sure--2-3 months per coil is overly optimistic, if used daily. I often vape unflavored or barely flavored eliquids and never had a coil last that long. And I have at least two or three devices in rotation.

Anyway, it's weird. That rubber/silicone plug may not last very long, but three months? Makes no sense to me. @FranC and others have had their Kroma-Zs for a long time and haven't reported any problems so far. Knock on wood. :)

2-3 months suit my coils (same barely flavored juice) except for habana reserve. Have 4 main vapes in rotation.

Didn't mention I did a quick search innokin - reddit - pods - saw a mention of 2-3 months regarding coils. But perhaps she has a link....

That's good to know. What resistance coils are you using?

Updates Regarding the Ban of Vape Mail in the US

To our all valued customers in the USA:

Thank you very much for your constant support and trust in Innokin Store. As you may know, the upcoming PACT policy and Vape Mail Ban will be implemented on March 27, 2021, we will no longer be able to fulfill vape products via USPS, FedEx, UPS to individual consumers. Even though USPS is still available for the moment, they will no longer accept Vape Mails from March 30, 2021. To ensure that your orders can be shipped out before the Vape Mail Ban on March 30th, please make sure that you place the orders no later than March 29th.

However, we are still looking for available carriers to fulfill the vape parcels in the US. We will keep you informed through website announcements and email once we find the solution.

Sitewide Sale: 25% off for all products, ends March 30,2021

Coupon Code:USS25

Sincerely,

Innokin Store

Say whaaat? This is news to me. Yikes. I have two Kromas and only one extra pod. Oh no.

@Innokin_timmy @Innokin_Joseph @Innokin_Paul Could someone confirm that Kroma -Z pods only last three months? Why?

Hello, thanks for asking.
FYI: The Kroma-Z pod is plastic and will need to be replaced eventually if it leaks persistently.
If the pod has no leaking issues, then it does not need to be replaced until a problem arises. That can be any amount of time, but in our anecdotal experience, it is quite rare and seems to be a bare minimum of at least 3 months to half a year or more of average lifespan before any potential problems arise with the pod.
