I totally agree about the smell. I've always known how bad smokers smell, and tried to make myself less offensive to others. But still, why exactly does a non-smoker have the right to tell someone they stink? You wouldn't just walk up to someone, and say "sheesh, go shower, you reek" if someone just had bad body odor so why is it ok to tell a smoker that they stink and have a filthy habit? (you know, the anti-smoking nazi types, or even the commercials). it's plain rude to make people feel bad. Ok, rant over. ;)

I would totally do this.

As for the smell of e-cigs, really it's only if someone is in the direct path of the vapor. When vaping in the car I've gotten this response. "What is that, cherry? That's nice." And "what flavor is that? Vanilla. Smells like a vanilla tootsie roll."

I haven't noticed any lingering odor. And when I use my USB at my desk at home I tend to vape right into the monitor. Don't see any build up. With a cigarette, the monitor would be brown and dripping with tar.

I vape at my desk at work sometimes. Use the "inhale and count to 20" method. No visible vapor. =)

When a smoker says, e-cigs will kill ya, remember NOT to argue. Remember, we were smokers and we all knew better but we suffered from dysfunctional hearing tobbaciosis. Instead just tilt your head to the side (curious dog look) and say, "how much are cigarettes a pack now?" and walk away. Yes, it's evil. Not too evil, just evil enough. And don't let them see the smile on your face.

A co-worker told me that every now and then when the vapor came her way she would get a wiff, but she couldn't identify it. I was vaping blackberry.
Years ago I worked with a very anti-smoking lady that always commented about how she hated cigs, how bad they smelled etc, she told me that I did not smell as bad as other smokers LOL. So I think it does have something to do with the brand and how much a person may sweat.
My hub still smokes and that smell stays in his stache, so no we don't kiss much anymore. I bought him one of those el-cheapo cigars cause I knew he wouldn't fiddle with an e-cig hoping he would make the switch. The cigar really has a strong scent, too strong, that I find unpleasant. Once the juice got low I refilled with menthol so it's ok now. He takes it to work and uses it in my car and that's about it. He keeps it in a round toothbrush holder. They have to be stored led up or they will leak like crazy.
