So I switched to a T3 clearomizer and X2 battery from Smokeless Image several months ago. I loved it compared with the V2 and Blu cigalikes I had started off with.

Then I saw the T3S and figured "hey, that looks even better". Being able to separate the atomizer from the base appears to be a huge advantage. Only disadvantage is that I'd have to get another battery to use with the different threading (my understanding is that my X2 battery won't work with a Kanger-brand clearomizer - Smokeless Image made their own version of the T3). Then of course the T3D is the same as the S, but with a dual coil, which I've heard outputs even better flavor and vapor.

Upon telling this to one of my friends, he began pushing the Aerotank mega - the T3 is a toy compared with this, apparently. I wasn't exactly sure why, aside from the airflow control (which I can still sort of emulate by holding my thumb and finger over the airflow holes on the T3 to begin with, but the Aerotank is more advanced with this anyway).

I realize this question might annoy some of the more experienced members, but can someone give me several reasons I might be missing out by not choosing the Aero Mega? Is the difference in flavor production significant? Also, will it require less maintenance? (I find myself having to clean the atomizer - or change the cotton wicks - on a regular basis in the T3 to slow down the rate at which the juice darkens and loses flavor with every refill).

As it is, I'm pretty satisfied with the idea of the T3 - I can see the ml markings and quite frankly I don't like how the Aero looks.

I started with T3Ss and they are very decent devices. I'm sure the T3Ds are as good or better as it seems Kanger has stepped up their game. The new Aerotank Mega and Mini has received good reviews and, based on Kanger's past, I wouldn't be surprised if the same atty in the new Aerotanks is the same as that in the T3D.

Based on what I know know I would personally go for the Aerotank Mini for the airflow control.

*revived a 2 month old thread - sorry*

I have the AT Mega. I definitely like it for the fact that the tank appears to last longer, but this is how I've learned NO tank is leak-proof. The bottom post which screws into any 510 capable battery even leaks a little bit - it won't drip all over the battery post but you can see the cap around the center post/pin fill with liquid. And if you don't fold a napkin's edge into a sharp, yet thick enough end and dab it out, the liquid will then come out of the airflow hole itself.

That said, it is definitely easier to clean once you disassemble the unit. With any T3-clearo, you have to fold a napkin in a strange way, use a tool to carefully force it into the tank and twist to get the moisture out.

I don't know if the glass, or the bigger size and it's different kind of "vacuum", affects the flavor, or if the enclosed coil/wick unit made a difference, but I DO notice SOME improvement in flavor and vapor output. Those enclosed wick coils can be used in a PT3 or T3D as well. (They're harder to clean - I have to soak the entire thing in rubbing alcohol and then through two cups of boiling hot water to rest assured that I've prepped it for re-use.)
