What is the best way to store a used atomizer so it will be preserved? I did a real good cleaning on 3 atomizers that I thought were beyond hope. The cleaning worked but I already have 3 atomizers in use and I just want to store these for later use. Any good procedures for doing this successfully?

Kevin

Kevin--I would be sure to re-prime them for storage and wrap them up. Other then that, you do not need to do much.

Thanks Sun, I was wondering if just keeping them wet would do. I think I read that they shouldn't be left dry. I hope to be able to use them later. I fear that working atomizers may become important if our sources for new ones dry up.

By the way the cleaning I did was a one week soak in rubbing alcohol. This was after an overnight soak didn't bring them back all the way. I hope this isn't a fluke and it really did work. They all had good electrical resistance before the cleaning so I figured they were just gunked up. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Kevin---why do you not try firing them up to see if in fact they work, otherwise you might think you have a backup, when in fact they do not work?

I have fired them up, and had a very good vape session with each one. That's how I know the cleaning worked. All three are functioning like they did originally.

I do assume that using 100% alcohol would work better. I just don't happen to have any of that.

Kevin

Sounds like you are good to go Kevin----nice to have a good backup!!!

Kevin rubbing alcohol is fine to use.
DOnt worry, I have done mine with it, and they clean them great. I only had to soak for a half an hour though. I found a good way is to use peroxide. Fill ur atomizer with it, connect it to the battery, tape the outside after connection, so nothign leaks out, and then do a good burn with it, for about 15 to 20 seconds. works nicely.
after that, rinse it off pretty darn good with some water, dry it out with a hairdryer, or just air dry them for a day. Prime them with a drop or two, and wrap em up.
Also, after every nite of use, disconnect ur cartridge form ur atomizer, and let ur atomzeir drain out, just set it upright. it helps drain the excess juice out, that clogs it up. Always give it a good blow no and again, too.

Oh my. Perhaps you should be more specific about what kind of battery you use for this process. I would hate to hear about newbies trying this process with their ecig batteries. That would be ecig battery murder.8-o

Thanks for the tip vaporich. I will be trying the peroxide on 2 more attys that have been almost unresponsive to all my efforts. Don't worry hobson I have a nicostick with a 14500 battery to light it up with (your input is also appreciated). I have wanted some info on the peroxide burn so this is very helpful.

Hopefully I will get all my used attys working. I have one that is dying because the resistance is a lot higher than normal so it may be terminal. Then I have a nice cache of new ones that haven't been used at all.
