So i am about to make my first batch of juice. I am starting simple; just single flavors and mainly fruit. No complex recipes ... yet. I just need to gain some confidence and learn the process.Gotta walk before you can run.

I think I read in a thread that someone said that fruit flavors can be vaped right after mixing and don't really need much, if any, time to steep. I can't find the thread now and can't even remember if it was on this site.

Is that correct? If not can someone give me some pointers? Again this is just a simple single flavor juice.

I don't steep my juices really, maybe a day but just because I mix when I'm low so the remaining still holds for that day

*my fruits come from hangsen and vapingzone so I just could speak for those

I got flavors from LA and FTA so we will see what these are like when i get them. I know some flavors are very strong so i have to see what is what

Try them right after mixing and shaking. It has been my experience with some TFA stuff, cantaloupe and raspberry come to mind, that they need a couple of days to develop properly. Citrus stuff such as lime are pretty good right away. I do use Watkins cherry as a single flavor (15%) and it too is very good after mixing, but it does get better as it sits.

For all of my go-to flavors, I use (2) 30ml bottles for each, so I can mix a new batch and let it steep as I finish the other bottle. I do the same with 10ml bottles of stuff I don't vape all the time, but I like on occasion.

Thanks guys. I fully realize there are various factors (MFG, taste, equipment, yada yada) but some things are somewhat consistent at times. It is just good to know that most Fruits can be vaped straight away with no steep time which makes me happy since I am running low on pre-mades! Actually, that also explains why the fruity pre-mades I have been getting are good out of the mail.
I get to pick up my very first order after work today so I am pretty stoked to make the first batch tonight.

I vape just about all my mixes right away (fruit mixes included). I must be the odd ball here but I equate mixing to bartending. When I made someone a Long Island Iced Tea. I added the Vodka, Rum, Gin, Tequila, Triple Sec, Sour Mix, splash of Coke and mixed. Said some magic phrases while adding a lemon wedge and like magic it was done. I can only imagine what words I would have heard if I told the customer you have to steep that for a month for optimal flavor  . I swear some people here would tell you to steep water for a week before it tastes right

Cheers,
Steve

I live in the sticks and have a 500 ft deep well and plenty of great tasting awesome water. But I have some buddies on town water with so much crap in it they let it sit a week for the chemicals to fade. I couldn't deal with that. When I bought this dump the first thing I did was taste the water. I said "I'll take it" right then and there. Glad I did.

Ok so the mixes were a bit strong smelling and perfumey the first night but as of today the berry mix i made has settled down and is tasting very good. I think the only one that didn't taste like the first night was the Peach. I had also done a banana / chocolate the first night and couldn't taste any chocolate and the banana was so strong I thought they were stuffed up my nose. But I tasted it last night and it seemed to have calmed down and I could actually get a hint of chocolate in it and the banana wasn't as overpowering.
I made up some more last night but didn't try any of them. I am going to let them sit for a few days and see what the result is.

I have been mixing my own peach flavored juice for about 6 months. The best trick I have found is to use a milk frother to stir the juice, let it sit until the mixture is clear, then repeat twice for a total of three stirrings. I make a 50ml bottle ahead and keep the new one on my DVR until I need it. Always great. The one thing I found that really mattered is less is more with the fruit flavors. To each his own, but start low and work the flavor level up in small batches. Good luck.

I must be the odd one here, because I almost never like any liquid right after it's mixed. PG and VG are thick, viscous liquids. They do not absorb flavors as easily as water does. For fruits I need a minimum of 3 days. For Tobaccos, it sometimes takes up to 6 weeks. I have done blind tests just to ensure I am not imagining things, (and I am not :) )
