I know a few people have tried to commit suicide by drinking
juice and failed. They barf it up before it does any real harm. I've heard that someone succeeded at suicide by injecting
juice. There is no way for the body to get rid of it if someone does that. I can think of a whole lot of common substances we have around the house that would probably kill you if you injected them.
The accepted fatal nic dose is in dispute and it's
very likely that it's much higher than commonly believed to be.
I DIY my juice and have worked with 100 mg/ml base though I have only 48 mg now. I don't use much nic anymore and 120 ml of 48 lasts me about a year or more. I've had a few drops of 100 mg liquid on my skin, washed it off within a minute or so and it has not affected me. I have at times had drops of juice in my mouth as I imagine many of us have and have felt no effect from that either other than it generally tastes awful. A few good leaks have got more than a few drops in my mouth at times too.
Small children eat tobacco surprisingly often and end up in the hospital because of the nicotine overdose.
We all need to be careful with anything that can harm people. Small kids and pets are more susceptible to chemical exposure than larger people and animals.
Having nic available in liquid form is fairly new, somewhat controversial and when something negative happens it's newsworthy. I try to keep things in perspective and not be lead from hype. Check out how many people die each year from smoking, car accidents and poisonings.
Safety is important for all of us. Always check your blind spot before making a lane change. Keep dangerous chemicals clearly labeled and inaccessible to children and pets. Practice safe battery use with all your battery powered devices. Have enough smoke detectors in your home and replace the batteries annually.
