I assume that because when you puff on an analog, the habitual amount is a function of whatever your lungs are accustomed to pulling. If you're pulling on an e-cig, the same lung function would occur out of habit.

Wow, I just read that whole thread. In my opinion, the above quote is exactly where you went wrong. My e-cig smoking is COMPLETEY different when it comes to puffs. I certainly dont take twelve puffs (or equal draws) and put it down, even when i just want the nic. Nore do i want to calculate how to equal a cig. I enjoy it and would rather smoke zero and ad 11 as/when i need a fix.

Besides, if its only nicotine delivery you want and the rest is a hassle or something, why not get a higher dose than an analog cig and just take a couple of puffs and be done? Why waste time with 12 puffs? i guess because you want to completely mock the experience ("replace") to make a switch? But as others have pointed out, most people are not taking the same 12 draws as an analog. You assume that they are with an average. They even tell you they are not. I am not. They are not. You continue to calculate for everyone as if they are... I'm not sure why. I guess if YOU take the same puffs as an analog and figure out the concentration to make it equal, it could work for you. Most people would have to force themselves to try and pull the same amount in the same amount of time, which is opposite of what you are assuming.

I am also "replacing" analogs. When i smoke an analog cig, I'm not sure that i only stop because i get the nic fix. If all the other garbage wasn't there making me sick, including the nic and along with the stink, I think I'd keep going. And i'd lower the nic strength so i could. That's an e-cig and its control. This is not a cigarette and i dont even WANT to always draw from it in the same amount of time. For me, part of this is like a Hookah experience at times. No one wants to calculate how long to sit and smoke a hookah or how to make it equal a cig. i understand that i shouldn't sit with 36mg in this way and thats why i have zero and low on hand and ad the nic as desired. Do I want to NOT be addicted to nic? Yes, and hopefully i'll ween off through this or just drop it and/or vaping altogether.

I'm searching out new flavors right now. I have to get a low and a zero because i already know i wont be smoking them like a cigarette. I want to enjoy them for more than 12 puffs and with long draws. I cant calculate that like a cigarette. It's not a cigarette.

Some people like a really strong smoke, or there wouldn't be such a thing as Pall Mall or Lucky Strike.

I, however, purchase the 36mg strength as a cost-saving measure. The bottles of e-liquid cost the same no matter the strength, at least with every vendor I've looked at.

I buy the strong stuff then cut it down with Glycerine. Some folks buy PG. If I cut it in half, then my liquid is 18mg, and I've spent maybe a dollar on a second bottle. PG costs about $22 per gallon. I bought a 16 oz bottle of gylerine for about $9.

Hey Walrus,
Where do you buy your glycerine?

looks like mr. bundy was right all along.

delivery % of nicotine will be based on puffs

I read through this whole thread just now, and what I sense is a person who thinks she knows everything because she has +7000 posts trying to browbeat someone, (with the help of her moderator friend) who had a better mathematical and logical perspective.

He's certainly right on one thing though... with logic about nicotine delivery like I'v read from some people posting on this thread, we'll be regulated up the ying yang simply because we're too stupid to do it ourselves safely.
