Hi folks,

Been a member of this forum, and vaping, for around six months. However, this is my first post in which i seek to start a thread. I recently got my wife onto the old e-cig, but she has noticed that she is not feeling satisifed (pardon the pun). I too have noticed that I need to smoke the e-cig much more than regular cigs to satisfy ny nic cravings, so I did a little research. According to the Health New Zealand study it takes 10 puffs of the e-cig with 16mg nicotine fluid to equal one puff of a regular strength cigarette. Are you all having a similar experience in that you find you have to smoke the e-cig much more to get the same nic intake as a regular cigarette?

Good point for sure, but does this study take into account how big of a puff each person takes? I know that all puffs aren't created equal. Plus, my understanding is that the nicotine is absorbed in the mucosa (the lining of your nose and mouth) and not much really in the lungs (if at all) so then the next variation is how do you puff? some folks drag the vapor right into their lungs, some puff on it like those pansy high schoolers who claimed they smoked but never inhaled (puff-blow, puff-blow) some do the french inhale every time, some suck the vapor into their mouths and instead of inhaling they blow it out their nose (BTW: i hear this give you the greatest nic hit) so really I think there are too many variables to say how much nicotine we're getting. Personally, I don't really think it matters to me because it's enough that I don't have to hit the analogs and I'm not making myself nauseous. As long as it stays like that I'll be happy with whatever nic (or lack thereof) that I'm getting.
