Nice looking build! I'll be interested to see if you get a high degree of blackened juice backwash into the bottle like I did when I tried this type of setup.

ill give it some juice to absorb and ill just vape whatevers on there til its dry, limiting some backwash

only takes a few 'long pulls' to get dry, doesnt hold much juice, i dont mind squonking all the time.

What I mean is, with cotton, say, you have full and empty. With nextel, I think, you have direction and distance of travel. (no? . . . . . yes?)

Possibly, Im having really good luck with this cotton setup. Made it just touch the bottom of the atomizer and it comes clean every time. Im digging it. No more gunk.

Noticed you can get the 2mm direct from the manufacturer for $120 for 100 meters of it. Roughly, that should work out to a buck or less for 24 inches which Stormy charges $4 for.

Ekowool

Co-op, anyone?

The active Ekowool co-op just finished but there is talk of doing another one in mid-June. If you go to the thread, which is still open in the active co-op section there is a poll at the top of the page where you can vote if you want them to run it again.

The final price of Ekowool came out to be less than $2 per meter and you had your choice of all the sizes.

So as not to disenfranchise anyone or deny people of their right to vote a picture ID is not required. (How will we know if voters are over the age of 18?) No matter... go vote. Do it Chicago style, vote often.

So after pdib said let's make a vertical coil I said screw it. Made one and this is how it came out. uploadfromtaptalk1369938953162.jpg
Not much difference then a horizontal coil but it was fun trying it out. The cotton has no problems wicking it up to the coil.

I "said"? :( Anyway, what resistance are you at? It only works with odd numbered builds.

No, but; what I'm shooting for is to have the most direct and shortest path from squoze to steam. This obsession stems back to my days with the Genny. I don' wan' no half cooked juice. No tails, short or long, no waiting in line, just fresh squeezed lemonade! (which, actually, is my daily vape) :)

It was a joke actually. I remember you mentioning a vertical coil. Remembering your post made me want to try it out. That was 7 wraps of 29 gauge@1.2. Flavor and vapor were great just being in the middle of the posts made it slightly cooler thus reducing th. I like a good throat hit so it wasn't the optimal setup but it worked fine. What fresh lemonade juice do you use? I want to stray a bit from my ry4 and white rabbit. Something like that sounds tasty during our Texas summer.

I'm really liking MisterELiquid juices these days. Their lemonade is very nice. The best lemonade I've had (and I haven't tried them all) is a mix of ←MEL's and MountBakerVapor's. The MBV adds a touch of the zest or "grapefuit" end of the spectrum. (I knew you were just having fun)

BTW, 1.2 . . . . . . that's even. Try 1.1 vertical. That's odd.

SO . . . . . back to the topic. My .8Ω micro was just a skosh hard. Meaning, if I didn't goose it just right (long enough), I would be flirting with finding a dry hit @ ~ the 7-8 sec. mark. Running just a bit hot for mindless pleasure. Re-coiled with a few tweaks. Its a bit ugly, but form will follow function. (I'll make it pretty next time.) I spread my coils just a bit. still looking at the equivalent 9-10 wraps w/ 28g Kan. While doing so, I was playing with wick positioning and minimalization. (super_X was pinning my arm behind my back and asking if my wick really need to be as long as it was. . . . . ouch, Supe) I think the shapes and locations speak for themselves. Nothing new here, just having some fun. (oh, yeah, NEXskinnyTEL wick)

Haven't vaped it much. Fresh batt. in the a.m. and will submit a quick report. (Don't wait up for me)

So, I few more tweaks. I'm dancing around the sweet spot here; but it's fun. This one is a teensy bit slow to heat up. BUT on a loooong pull (8-10 sec.), it is immense and heavenly. Super vibrant, full spectrum flavor. A nice smack of TH (I'm noticing, that the extent to which air can pass under the coil is a key TH element. Also, tho, it comes at the cost of visible steam production, in direct proportion. Complimentary trade-off.) With a shorter tuck, I'm well within the safety zone; nice mindless hits. I want to make this type of shape and coil spacing with just the tiniest adjustment back to the heavier side. I guess I'll either drop from 28Kanthal to Nichrome (=27K) and keep these ~13 wraps, or I'll use a couple fewer wraps; but, as you can see, the wraps all have a job to do in the structure. Also, want to try double nextel in only the 5 wrap center section, but am truly frightened (;)) that it may take me too far from Micro-Coil City.

Oh, did I mention? I'm looking for the perfect "1 squoze = 1 vape" wikicoil. No half-cooked juice. Squeeze it and use it, I say. Absolute flavor perfection, no less!

HEY! maybe I'll start by just scrunching those center 5 wraps back together. That might speed up the initial kick just enough . . . . .

Unusual pic Russ, did you unravel some of the braids on the Nextel?

No, that left side got messed up when I cut it. It was not one clean cut, more like several botched attempts, then I slid the mold back in to adjust it and messed it up even more :)

Next one will be prettier, If I ever decide to rebuild it :)
