It's cake. I can rebuild kangers while eating dinner in front of the tube. Literally 5 minutes start to finish.

I wonder if soaking cotton balls in alcohol would purify them and be quicker and easier than boiling them, the alcohol sure would evaporate faster than water. Anyone have any experience with doing something like that?

The first time I tried, I didn't boil the cotton. Nasty tasting for sure. I wouldn't use alcohol--you're trying to get out the peroxide residue. I stuck mine in a dish with about 2" of water and boiled it in the microwave for 5 minutes. No nasty taste after that.
