I use the Kanger Protank Mini-IIs. I have a few but when I go to switch juices in one, should I just wait till its all the way empty from vaping and use the same wick, or switch the coil head so that the old flavor is gone? I'm not really sure how to rebuild them yet because I'm a huge noob and like things easy for now.

Any input is nice.

I just rinse the head off under running water and blot it dry. The first few vapes are weak while the water burns off, but then It gets back to normal. Some people rinse them and let them dry all the way, I don't find that to be necessary, but if you want to do that you can just rotate a new head while the first one dries.

I usually finish off whatever juice I have in my Protank before changing to another. I'll change heads if I'm going from menthol to fruit as it seem no matter how well I wash the head, it still tastes like menthol. But if it's similar, I'll just wash, blot dry and reuse.

But....since I learned to rebuild, I just replace heads. No more washing and I don't worry about having enough heads on hand.

I have same set-up. I don't like the mixing of juices. I vape it down to the point that I can't really see any juice in the tank, For that I prefer the more open Kanger tanks. Anyway, I clean it after a fullish tank. I look for my single, bottom coil to last for about 10ml of juice. I have had it burn-out once. Made the rest of the juice taste burnt. I have four tanks and one is filled as an emergency one for car. I also keep a spare coil there. If I was without a functioning APV, I might be tempted to by a pack of cigs. I fear that.

I used to rinse the heads between refills, but now I don't even bother. I use only fruit flavors, and didn't like the watery first couple of pulls. The old flavor is gone within 2-3 vapes, and it hasn't noticeably shortened the life of the head. I get 6-8 tankfuls before the head needs to be changed out, whether I rinse them or not. Remember, though, this is just my experience with my juices. Your results may vary...

Hmmm. 6-8 tankfuls. Maybe the one that went bad on me and burnt was a fluke. I assume 6-8 tankfuls is more than 10ml. Thanks for your reply.

6-8 tank refills per head, that's my experience, and I'm using full size Protank 2s. I use them until either it starts tasting burnt, or I start getting fluid in my mouth. When this happens, I change it out for a new head. I fill them right to the very top of the center tube, and use them until I have to tip the tank to see how much fluid is left.

My wife uses pure VG juices, and she has to rinse the head more often, but she gets about the same life out of them.
