I just made the move from the 808 battery's to a Vision 1300 mAH Spinner and I'm using a Kanger mini protank II. My questions are listed below:

1.) I'm wondering how far down I should let the tank get before I refill it, and if I'm not suppose to let it go all the way empty, what is the best way to empty it? Should I just dispose of whatever juice is left in the tank or is it ok to add it back to the bottle of juice that it came from?

2.) If I want to change flavors do I really need to clean it every time or can I just empty it out and refill it with a different flavor?

3.) When I do clean the tank, can I just take the Coil unit and set it to the side and clean everything else? I just don't want to get the wick wet and have to wait for it to dry.

4.) At least for now I don't plan on changing or cleaning the wicks. I plan on just replacing the coil unit when it starts getting funky, so do I really need to clean it at all except between coil unit changes?

Thanks ahead of time.

On either Protank, the procedure is pretty much the same.

1. If I've removed a flavor wick, I try to keep the tank at least 1/2 full or I'll get flooding. If you've not removed the wicks, then you can pretty much vape it empty. You will know when it's time when the taste goes downhill. I usually discard the leftover little bit of juice. Don't put juice from the tank back into its original bottle - it'll contaminate the fresh juice.

2. All I do to clean it out is run hot tap water through the tank. Disassemble the head from the bottom cap and let hot water run through the head, then blow it out. This is the best procedure to restore good taste with the same juice or start a new flavor with the same head.

3. You can set the coil aside if you want, but I feel it really benefits from rinsing as far as restoring good flavor to the next tank of juice. There is no need to wait for a head/wick to dry. The first few vapes on it will be 'blank', but keep on and once the juice get to the coil, you're off and running again.

4. You will find that cleaning between full tanks or at least every 3-4 tankfulls will keep the flavor nicer and extend the life of the head. You will get a feeling of when the taste starts to get weird.

Hope that helps!

1. I just make sure there is some Juice left in the bowl. As long as it can wic some in, you should be good as it does not circulate back into the bowl.

2. I have been cleaning the tank to keep it from putting to much of the taste from the last juice into the new juice. You will still get hits that taste like the old juice until the wicks are saturated with the the new. Takes more than just a few hits.

3. I dont know. I have just pulled the coil out and wiped it down, Wick as much of the juice out of the wick as I can. Set it off to the side while i break down and clean the rest of the tank.

4. Like before, Ill watch this post and see if someone has better response.

1) It's a BCC you can vape it down until you get the very first slight hint of bunt taste. I don't put juice that has been in a tank back into the bottle, some folks do.

2) Depends on the flavors you use, some taste horrid even in very tiny amounts when intermingled.

3) You can clean it any way you want , there aint no rules. If you clean the head in PGA it sterilizes, loosens/removes coil gunk, removes flavors about as good as anything can and evaporates quickly.

4) Routine maintenance is always a good idea. Helps prevent funky tastes, can extend the life of the head, can prevent issues like flooding/leaking dry/burnt hits / wicking problems & removes old darkened/slightly burnt juice that can make your fresh juice taste like old juice.

The Vision/Protank 2 Mini should make you VERY happy! It's vaping technology that's tried and true!! Inexpensive and easy to maintain.....
1.) My own rule-of-thumb is to refill at ~ 1/4 tank...main thing - just don't run it 'til the wick goes dry!! It's OK to use up the "old" juice...it's easier than trying to empty the tank....but if you DO, I'd dump the old...DON'T put it back in the original bottle!! (throwback to my chemistry days....NEVER return chemicals to stock reagent containers!!:D)
2.) IF you're changing flavors...at LEAST rinse the tank with hot water...the cleaner, the better....but you don't have to be obsessive about it....!;)
3.) After several tanks' use, I soak my coil(s) in 100 proof vodka overnight...then dry completely...if you're NOT changing flavors, just set the coil aside...no biggie....
4.) When you start losing vapor or the taste seems "off"....that's a good time to swap out the coil/head....depending on how much you vape a coil/head can last a few days or a couple of weeks....
Others will chime in with their own variations to my:2c:...
Good Luck!
Happy (vaping) Trails!

I will try soaking in PGA or Vodka when necessary and I didn't figure it was a good idea to add the used juice back to the original bottle but I just wanted to make sure. So far I'm very impressed with the Vision Spinner but they sure do burn up the juice, but this is coming from someone that had only used the 808 battery's and carts to this point. Thanks to everyone for the helpful information.

I've never bothered with the vodka bath. Hot water has done the job well enough.

As for returning that 0.3ml of liquid to the original bottle: You probably can, but it might progressively gunk up the bottle until the flavor changes. I have an old 15ml bottle that I call the Suicide Bottle. Whenever I empty a tank or decide that I just don't want anymore of that flavor for a while, I pour it in there. There are all manners of liquids mixed around. Coffee. Tobacco. Chocolate. Vanilla. A fruit here, a candy there.

One of these days, I'll man up and fill a tank with it and see what I've come up with.

I have a 'junk' bottle too that I labeled Pot Luck, that little bit left in the
bottom of tanks make me laff that I try and save it, it amounts to nothing...

add fluid when you want-JUST DON'T LET WICK GO DRY

the only thing not to get wet is the battery, the rest just wash it out when ever you want -- adding fluid
changing fluid -- dry how ever you want, shake it, blow it, or let it sit 2 days, not a big deal
worst that could happen is ya get a little water in your fluid -- the coil will dry off soon enuff...

if it stops performing well, just replace coil or rebuild it...

really, a simple operating device

I recently got a mini pt2 and just love it, it is turning into my fav topper tank, maybe the best of all time ☺

1.) I burn mine down almost all the way when I'm getting ready to clean the tank. If I'm not planning on a full clean up, I'll refill around halfway.

2.)I would give everything a good rinse, and wipe with q-tips.

3.)Go ahead and rinse the wick, and dry burn off the water. When your wick is dry and cool, you can dab some liquid onto it, so you don't have to wait for it to wick.

4.) I find it really helps the flavor to clean my wick/coil nightly.
