How often do you have to submit your drivers license and such? Am 21 but i'm not sure if I have enough public records to where a system would be able to determine that, and I don't have a way to scan my ID or anything and am not sure if taking a picture would work. Just want to figure this out before trying to order from anywhere, because them taking my money and THEN asking for my ID sounds like it could be a pretty big pain. Or alternatively if there are any places that don't do this, i'm all ears.

So you joined ECf at age 16?
Are you sure you want to admit to that violation?

In the OPs defence he might have meant he had attained the age of 21 and is actually some years older.
If he has been truthful on previous posts he is actually 24.
I don't think I would bother ordering from an online store that wanted such detailed age verification . If you have the option just shop elsewhere.

I've had to submit a pic of my driver's license and a photo of me holding my license, so they could compare how I actually look with the photo on my license...on one website since they started asking for age verification. ALL other websites that ask for age verification...have only asked for my birthdate info., that's all.

Used 21 as reference because I saw something about needing to be that old to order e-cigarette supplies online in certain states, primarily wherever EV is based. In terms of shopping elsewhere, i'm not really sure where the next best place would be. A lot of the more popular sites I know of are doing this.

I've never been asked for ID since I started vaping. I just had my credit card hacked and $2500 charged on it. Fortunately my bank, Wells Fargo, was on the ball and declined most of the charges, so I'm a bit gunshy about how much info I give out on line. Here's a few sites just off the top of my head that I've used without needing ID: Fasttech, Eightvape, Myvaporstore, 101vape, Directvapor, Vaporbeast, Vapewild, Vaporl. Have fun checking them out.

Many places have real time age verification, MVS, Element, etc. They use a service that attempts to verify the info you entered to see if it is 'confident' you are of age.

The ONLY place I've ever had issues with was Element Vape. As a result, I simply will not order from them. I'm not sending, emailing, etc anything like this to anyone.

I've tried Element twice, probably 6 months apart (to see if it would now approve me), and still was requested to send manual proof the second time. Whether it was something I wanted or not, too bad. I waited and found what I wanted somewhere else.

Until we are required by law to do something like this, I will decline to purchase from sites that require me to do it.

Honestly doesn't the fact that you have a credit card (not a debit card) automatically mean you are at least 18+? That alone should be enough for 18+ locations.
You would think that, but i've seen people in their 60's get ID'd for certain online shop because of these verification systems. Kinda sucks that VaporDNA and Elementvape seem to be two of the most popular sites but seem to be kind of infamous for these verification systems.

Their prices aren't good enough for me to send a copy of my DL. As the word gets around about their age verification, I doubt that they'll remain "popular" for very long. There are plenty of sites available with equal or better prices that don't make you jump through hoops.

I've actually been having trouble finding reliable sites that have their selection and low prices. Directvapor for instance doesn't even have the Recurve RDA, which is one of the things I was looking for.

Yeah Element has had a few things in stock that were either out of stock, or not carried by other sites, but I either got over it, or found it elsewhere.

I shop at a bunch of different sites and have ended up finding everything I wanted or needed without having to order from Element.

@Frogzx, if you still want a Recurve, regular price on it is on $23.99 at Vape Wild. They have free shipping on all orders over $30. I think most people consider them a juice vendor, but they actually have a decent hardware selection, and I've bought quite a bit of hardware from them over the past year.

Lots of good places, prices and options out there without the age hassles if you take the time to shop around. These days, I pretty much stick with US vendors, will only order from China if it's weird parts or something I can't find anywhere else. The long wait from China personally is not worth saving a few $$ to me. If you sign up at a good number of the US vendors for emails, there are lots of good sales and offers.

@score69 I was just looking at vapewild before reading that, but i've read that they also do the same verification thing that VaporDNA does. Granted, the last complaint I can find is from a couple years ago.
If Vape Wild does age verification, then it must be transparent. I don't see it actually do the check like you do on other sites. Other sites have you put in your DOB, etc. You don't enter any of this on Vape Wild. So not sure how they would even do this.

Honeslty, with Vape Wild, I think you just check the box for age/terms of conditions and that's it. It's never given me any grief.

They also have the Pulse @ $49.99. It pairs nicely with the Recurve. ;)

The way many of the age verification tools work is it takes known details such as name and address and uses public data to try and validate your age. It only asks for the other details if the initial look up doesn't yield a good result. So if you were not asked, it's because they didn't need to in order to verify your age.

It's all a little creepy if you ask me.

Yeah I haven't tried ordering yet out of sketchiness. Main worry is that the payment will go through and THEN i'll need to verify my age. Meaning i'm out of however much I just spent and at the mercy of the verification system in place.
